gonna say Segrest will be asked to move on, Rhoads will be promoted or move on, and Robb Smith will find a DC position elsewhere

Enos will find greener pastures.

If this happens, Bert can go ahead and pack his bags bc we will be worse than this year.

As long as we do whatever it takes to keep Enos, Smith and Lunney, I don't care where anyone else goes b

Robb and Segrest are probably gone. Bielema has made staff changes every single year. Our defense as a whole and especially our run defense and pass rush were the worst parts.

Probably just Smith, I could see Rhoads going next year but I think he stays one more year at DBs unless we promote him.

Robb Smith is staying, the talk of changing to a 3-4 is to keep him around.
I'm gonna be pissed if Charlie Partridge doesn't replace Segrest.

No way he is staying if they perform poorly at the bowl. I could believe it if they play well though.

In that case I hope we win 60-59 with all of their TDs being 80 yard runs. That'll probably happen anyway though.

The bowl shouldn't factor in at all. If we shut them out he should be fired. Hell, he shouldn't even be coaching the bowl.

wouldn't surprise me at all if smith stays and partridge is brought in
eta if our dline improves our entire defense improves drastically

I wouldn't disagree but I could only see him staying in a situation like that

I think this hint of a 3-4 defense is a excuse to keep Robb around another year.
Likely CRS isn't going anywhere, Segrest may fall on the sword.

Probably right, but if it doesn't work, it gives him ample firepower to send him packing for someone else.

I cringed today hearing him say that he was looking forward to putting in some 3-4 looks during the spring.

Especially since we're short on legit LB's

i mean, if we're going to do it let's do it. i don'tw ant "3-4 looks" i want a fricking 3-4. if we are going to suck, let's at least have the novelty of running a defense we've all creamed our pants wanting to run for the last 15 years lol.
smith's track record wise, i can picture a scenario where he doesn't completely suck dick and a change of schemes benefits him.
but the D line coach needs to go

I'm going to go ahead and sum up this thread by saying that the consensus is Robb Smith and Segrest, both of whom I agree need to be gone yesterday.
However, here are my two additions:
1. Anderson - our offensive line was a horror show, and his matador blocking scheme almost got Austin killed. This hire just looks like one on which Bert simply outsmarted himself.
2. Herbert - his S&C program absolutely sucks, and it's not translating at all to the SEC. This is the second straight year of our team absolutely getting pushed around and physically manhandled on both sides of the line. We're also profoundly slow. Basically, we're everything you don't want in an SEC football team - big, weak and slow. Also, his stupid one legged squats cost us Jonathan Williams last year (dear God how awesome would it have been to have him and Collins in the backfield last year).
