Florida Football Insiders has learned that the quest for Taggart’s successor began Wednesday and that it might actually end rather soon with former Texas coach Charlie Strong stepping in as the fourth head coach in school history.

Strong is getting that job... It's too perfect for him. Anyone who knew anything about the sport could see this one coming.

Strong at USF is a perfect fit. Was hoping Taggart would stay but Strong walks into a perfect situation. USF has a lot of talent coming back next year and Strong will be able to recruit a lot of good players from Florida.

Tampa is very nice and USf has a great campus. I believe their student body is around 45k students.

They play off campus at Raymond James.
