gives me bad anxiety.

pretty sure that was the only reason I thought we were gonna lose to tcu and it nearly came to be sans the blocked kick.

hoping once our younger faster lb's get more experience and are able to contribute it'll become less of an issue

Luckily we only face 3 more of those for the rest of the season. One of which (Kelly) has managed to average 1.6 yards per carry thus far. Another (Hurts) has managed 2.6 yards per carry.

I really like our chances against at least one of Hurts/Knight/Kelly this year. And containing all 3 is not an unobtainable goal. Running QBs are a weakness for our defense, yes but in this league I'd rather be good against running backs and passes to the flats. And we have been.

And FWIW I thoutght our open field tackling was pretty good for the most part on Saturday.

I have dreaded 3rd and 7 against a mobile QB for years. Might as well go ahead and give them the 1st down.

Still seeing Cam trucking Olajabutu straight up the middle in my nightmares.

The only thing I can take solace from is that a mobile QB who can throw the ball tends to give every team fits.

It's a numbers game typically the game was played with offense using 10 members to account for and knowing the play while defense has 11 active guys.

Running qb who csn throw combined with a strong numbers game head coach is gonna end in big plays at some point. Thus the hurry up to get more plays into a game.

does not compute. Cam played one year in 2010. Sam had been graduated 4 years.

Yeah, I think it was Jerico Nelson's soul that Cam ate on that play.

You're right. I was wondering if I was thinking of the right LB when typing that. Obu would have met the same fate though.

Jericho also wasn't a middle linebacker.

He's one of the better ones we've had though in the last 5-6 years. Although that isn't saying much at all.

Butu would have blown Cam up!

Might have beat him in open space but straight up in the hole Butu was a wrecking ball.

Still, pretty accurate for a dream.

In my dream, I'm the MLB and I need to pee really bad but we're down to our last time out so I have to hold it.

then I get trucked
