OT-Cicadas everywhere

They have really exploded over here in my neck of the woods (Western Hills). Im not srue if this part of the 14 year cycle but I havent seen them like this in6 years of living in this area.

According to Wikipedia, the Lower Mississippi Valley Brood is supposed to emerge this year.

I see. 13 or 17 year makes more sense, I guess, being prime numbers.
