Their passing game worries me. Kelly can chunk it and they have some elite WR's and TE.

Yea, I thought our defensive backfield was the only group that took a step back in the Aubarn game, especially late.

I criticized Dean some, but it could have been more on the safeties related to the big pass plays in the 4th that kept auburn in the game, it's a little confusing sometime to know for sure. I thought Dean needed to run with the WR on the catch to set up the FG but he acted disappointed that the safety didn't have the release.

Anyone want to take a shot at which player blew the coverage on that critical play?

Collins is playing great coverage, just seems to consistently come up with pass breakups at critical points in the game.

bret said during the post game presser that a junior DB at that critical point in the game can't make mistakes like that. sounds like it was on dean.

Seemed like a miscommunication. I think it was on Dean after watching the replay.

Let us be honest here. We will give up a ton of yards and pray for Freeze to go... well.. Freeze. The Aggies basically gave up in the first quarter and Freeze only managed to put up 23 on them, even with the caveat of he took a knee.

The Ole Miss game comes down to being efficient in the red zone when we get down there.

Agreed. I touched on this in my thread up above about thoughts going down the stretch, but Ole Miss scares me most of all, much more than LSU, because they have a really good passing game. Kelly has been slinging it all season, and Treadwell and Ingram are elite weapons.

I'm not sure what happened to our pass defense considering we brought everyone back besides Turner and Mitchel, but they seem to have taken a step back this year. That's odd considering that they possess the best combination of experience, depth and health considering how hard we've been hit by the injury bug. I'm hoping they're able to pull it together and step up in a big way before we hit that tough three game stretch of Ole Miss, LSU and State.

At the very least, our front 4 is getting MUCH more pressure at this point in the season. If we can pressure Kelly with those 4 guys, at least the secondary will benefit quite a bit.

A lot depends on which OM team shows up to this game. Do we get Memphis Ole Miss or Bama Ole Miss? Their QB and WRs are more than capable of picking our D apart if they play to their abilities, and this game could get ugly. If only bad Bo was still there.

Our d-line has been getting much better pressure the last few games, but the secondary is still giving huge cushions and leaving WRs wide open at inexplicable times. We'll have to rely on shutting down their run game (which shouldn't be hard at all), and our line getting pressure on Kelly and rattling him enough to have issues beating us through the air.

Our offense should be able to move the ball, although lack of RB depth vs a physical defense worries me quite a bit. We'll have to be efficient and eat up the clock to keep their offense off the field as much as possible. They'll most likely sell out to stop our run game; so Morgan, JCorn, and Reed will have to get separation and get it quickly. The Bama game is a prime example of what happens when our receivers can't get early separation and our run game is stuffed. Cannot let this happen in this game to have any chance.

I agree with the above poster who said we have a better chance of beating LSU, we just don't stack up well against OM.
