9-3
Bert gets an extension through 2075 with a Steph Curry contract sized buyout. We go 6-6 for the next 5 decades.

I listened to coach rhoads talk about how facing Austin in practice helps our defense. He said if Austin was throwing the ball last year like he was yesterday we would have won a lot of games. Said if he continues to throw like he has been we will be in every game. because right now he is throwing right on the money, and throwing balls that you can't defend. It gives me hope that Austin has taken that next step(as I'm sure we all expected he would) and has put in the work to be an all sec qb. You know what they say. There is no defense for a perfect pass.
He also went on to say that it isn't just his arm, but his intelligence. Says he doesn't put the offense in bad positions with his checks, and anything you get against him will be earned the hard way.

Everyone remember.. this is coach speak. Of course everyone that we have is looking all sec. It's pre season don't get your hopes up too much in case we end up going 7-5 again

From Bert, I would agree... But PR hasn't done a lot of coach speak in his life. One blunt dude. I have been following him for a while now, his rants on YouTube are wonderful. He blasts the officials a few times. Love the guy and hope he is here a while.

I'll pick 8-4 with losses to aTm, Alabama, Auburn & LSU.
I think our ceiling is 9-3 with the cellar being 6-6.
As always, hoping for the best but, in hamster on the treadmill fashion, thinking that we don't quite get there.

My concern is that if our pass protection isn't any better that Austin is going to get hits and pressure that cause turnovers no matter what. With decent line play I think he carves up a lot of secondaries this season and puts up some very solid numbers.

Jack Lindsey just led a 64-yard TD drive against the first defense, capped by Will Gragg's 4-yard TD catch

That's a little disheartening tbh
