since the admins on Fearless Friday ban every post associated with this topic I figured I would ask on here....
What the Frick is going on at NLR? heard the coach was suspended without pay, then reassigned, then fired, now back to suspended without pay. rumor mill running wild and no one seems to know the truth.
Any of you know anything? I can't help but wonder if it has anything to do with KJ's recruiting although it probably does not....
just wondering what is going on?

I think a news outlet reported that Bolding has been trying to get the Nashville job that Billy left vacant to head to Russellville.

There have been FOI sent to NLR but as of now, they are keeping everything hush hush for some reason.

In my experiences, no matter what or who you are. When people try to keep secrets out of the public, its usually never good news

Bolding was one of two finalists for the Nashville job but they hired the Henderson State OC yesterday.

Agree with Hawgeye. This much work to cover up something is never good news.

Is the Nashville job better than the NLR job? As a lifelong Arkansas resident, I didn't know Nashville existed most of my life.

What division is Nashville? Is Nashville like the Shiloh of the southwest? Are they producing big athletes? Or did they figure out a system like Greenwood or someone?

Nashville is AAAA. They've been a "system" team for quite a while. Back in the day they were one of the first schools around Arkansas to throw it and spread it out. they turn out a lot of good football players but very few big time D1 kids.
In my opinion, Nashville IS a better job than NLR. Smaller school but better situation. However Bolding didn't get that job they hired the OC from Henderson State.

Nashville is a solid program.

They started the air raid I think, with Jared McBride(?)I remember was a really good QB.

I'm a Fayetteville High alumnus and for decades upon decades the program was pretty bad. We would put together a Zak Clark team once every 15 years or so and get knocked out late in the state playoffs, but that was about it.

But the potential was always there because of the money, city, and size of the school. The same with Bentonville, Rogers, and Springdale. Patton finally put together good teams and won championships in Fayetteville. I just hate that we had to wallow under Adams for so long and Dick Johnson the AD.

That's why I question why you would leave NLR for Nashville. It seems that you could possibly get more D1 type athletes and big games and notoriety and a higher salary at a place like NLR or one of the NWA schools.

If you were running a fund to do things like pay kids parents rent, etc. you might hafta get outa town fast.

If you were financing that fund thru boosters from Bama and other sources...well...things might get real interesting when the coach of your in state program finally has enough.

Oh yeah...Hill's stepfather makes Cecil Newton look like the Pope.

So the NLR Football twitter account just tweeted this:

@NLRfootball: Players do not text out info that is not factual. #brotherhood

This comes shortly after NLR player Tyler Phillips tweeted this:

@TylerP_nlr: I know what my coach has done for me. I will always support him. @NLRfootball

@TylerP_nlr: @NLRfootball nobody knows how much he has done for me and my teammates. He deserves so much better

I heard yesterday that the football program was $80,000 in the hole and that he hasn't been on campus since early January.

We paid our new coach more than he was making at Henderson. We loaded.

79k on the books, another 50-60k in under the table benefits.

hearing too he may or may not have shopped a "recruit" for a job on a coaching staff. Supposedly these "allegations" wont break until after signing day.

The lease is for KJ Hill's stepfather and mother.

The fund...is of questionable origination :).
