The only reason we are here... is because of Nolan...

Nolan transformed our basketball program. I don't know if any of you remember.

I remember as a kid how honest and trustworthy that fella was.

Sure it sucks donkey dick. We haven't been relevant in 20 years, but god dammit remember the good times.

LINK

It can happen again... I'm not saying Mike Anderson is the man to take us there, but college basketball is cyclical.

Just remember how loud the Bud was... How insane/passionate our fans were.

It can and will happen again.

Don't lose faith.

That's what makes Arkansas as a program. The fans.. We will rise again...

What? Nolan didn't build the Razorback program. Credit had to be given to 3 people.

He didn't build it by himself, but he gave it that final push all the way to the top. It was entertaining to watch.

Yea, no.

Arkansas has a program win percentage of some place around 65% all time. That isn't just because of Nolan. The Hogs have been to Final Fours in three different decades. Thats not just because of Nolan.

Nolan was great, but Arkansas has always had a very good basketball program over the course of the programs history.

I guess, by success standards, we're honestly more of a basketball school. I wonder if we'd embrace this identity more heavily if we weren't in the SEC, where football reigns king.

Not trying to be an arse, but the major success started when Frank Broyles decided to make basketball a priority. He brought in Eddie Sutton and refurbished Barnhill arena into one of the most dreaded places for opponents to play.

Eddie put us on the map, nolan took it to the next level.

I agree that we will get back to a high level eventually...

I tend to agree. We were a bluebood for a while, and may never reach that level again, but I think we will be a very good program and respected nationally as we once were.

I miss the days when we could fly the #1 flag around the court.

Why?

Because we were the #1 team in the nation.
