Do you think the NCAA is getting serious about cleaning this up or are they only going to put a few programs "back into their place"?.

SMU received a defacto Death Penalty this week with a post season ban for this upcoming season, a loss of 9 scholarships, and the inability to host unofficial visits during the summer and a reduction in off campus recruiting for a few years while giving Larry Brown a 9 Game suspension to go along with a 2 year show cause for one player who had one online classes completed by someone other than himself.

UNC has basically been proven to systematically giving players degrees via academic fraud and not so much of a slap on the wrist was given.

Now its Louisville's turn to find out where they stand in the land of College basketball with the prostitution allegations.

For those of us who remember, we lost 3 scholarships in basketball to go with other sanctions because the football team was cheating under Ford and Nutt.

A few years prior we were banned from JUCO recruiting because Sunday and Jesse Pate legally practiced with the team, but Bama's word meant more, apparently.

Pate's story is a sad one, he would have been on of the all time greats here, he was the real deal. He was buried in a #4 Arkansas jersey last year.

Jesus, Jesse Pate was scary good. It saddened me to have heard that he was buried w/ his Razorback jersey because obviously loved it here and had his heart broken for some really stupid shite by the NCAA.

That and I don't recall him ever being officially invited back by the athletic department for any of the stuff they've done to try and honor Nolan.
