The Abuja, Nigeria, native posted 16 double-doubles last season, the most of any returning high-major player in the country. He finished the 2015-16 regular season as one of five high-major players in the nation averaging at least 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and was one of three players in the country with multiple games of 20 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.

All aboard the hype train!

I really miss being optimistic about basketball and looking forward to the season.

Baseball has kinda taken it's place, especially since I can see the games now.....sigh

The basketball team is going to be good, and the media just picked us 5th in the SEC because of the talent coming in this year. Think about how bad we were last year, and the media is putting us behind only Kentucky, Florida, A&M and Georgia.

We have three of the top six Jucos coming in, and Jaylen Barford is the #1 Juco in the country. Some people scoff at Mike's Jucos for some reason, but in the past Juco players were seen as an advantage because they have two years of experience out of high school. Just look at Barford's offer list:

Xavier

When you consider all the other players we have coming back, like Kingsley, Beard and Hannahs, we look like a definite tourney team with a chance to advance.

I talked to Mike a few months ago, he says the new players have already bought into his system, and alluded that some former players never really bought in. This will likely be his best team yet, better than the Portis/Qualls tournament team and probably a better seed.

On paper, the team is vastly improved. As long as someone emerges as reliable ball handler, it could set up to be a really fun season.

Not worried about replacing Bell, weve got plenty of scorers now and his defense was shitty. But durham developed into a pretty solid pg and im not sure who will take over that role, if anyone.

Considering theres some depth this year and more shooters, and the fact we dropped alot of close, one possession games last year, we should def pick up 7-9 more wins.

Hope CJ Jones can play all year like he did in Spain.

Pretty surprised by him, we'll need his scoring. I wasn't super impressed by any of the JUCO's from what I saw in Spain. They'll need time to gel together.

This made me remember that Stanford game where we led by 19 and they went on a 20 point run

Could be 3. The kid from Van Buren is apparently going to get a bunch of playing time at Mizzou.
