I'm not saying that Cody or especially Jared are bad receivers and I wish neither would have ever gotten injured, but are we better now with reed and Morgan on the field than Cody and jared? Opinions?

I would just like to have all four. It's apparent our receiving core would actually be pretty legit with a 5 man rotation of Hatcher, Morgan, Reed, Cornelius and Hollister.

And all 5 could be back next year if Hatcher doesn't go pro.

I was impressed with Reed today in some situations. He is definitely good in open space. Morgan is just solid. Without him, we would not have one today.

Cornelius looked like he was going to be a play maker this year before he got hurt.

All I know is I fricking love Drew Morgan right now.

I haven't seen a Razorback play this hard and make this much out of out his PT opportunity after positional injuries in a long time. He was uncoverable in the A&M game, and he just gets open and makes plays with the ball. We'd be a hell of a lot worse off if he hadn't stepped up after we started taking injuries en masse at WR.

I don't know, I think it might be permissible to say he's playing with the heart and effort we saw from AJ Derby last year.

I don't know if that's a product of Bert's coaching or not, but I love that effort and passion.

The Morgan TD in 4OT was incredible.

Morgan has been one of the players to really step up his game as more and more of our starts are injured. Like you said, he's having an AJ Derby like run right now.

Hollister sucks

The rest of those guys are actually SEC WRs, and Morgan is playing out of his mind right now

Meh, he's really just a possession guy who serves as a 3rd TE on the field. He had a few pretty good catches for us last year, but he's not a guy who's going to burn anyone or turn upfield for 6. He's a good downfield blocker, which is probably why he was so high in the rotation.

Reed is our best athlete, but I'd argue Morgan is a better playmaker and WR. From pass catching to running routes to making something out of nothing and getting an extra few yards, he's everything you'd want out of a receiver.

Plus, I love that he plays with a fiery disposition. Reminds me of Tony Bua.

Agreed.

Morgan is actually tied for the SEC lead in TD receptions right now.

Who'd have thought going into the season that not only would a Hog receiver be leading the SEC in receiving TDs, but that it'd be Drew Morgan?

Morgan is the scrappiest SOB Ive seen on our team in years.

He really seems to understand defenses and where the soft-spots are. Smart and tough with a little talent will take you a long way in life

I like them all, but Reed and Morgan are great.

Reed makes scoring look easy, as if anyone could have done it. He's one of those guys who's clearly moving faster then he looks and he's got some moves. The things that have probably surprised me the most with him is how well he catches the ball and that he's actually powerful enough to fight for some extra yards.

Morgan is just so sly and determined. He also has some moves, and seems dangerous in space, because he's so hard to hold on to.

I've been critical of our receivers since Cobi Hamilton left, but I really like those 2 a lot. Hatcher, Hollister and Cornelius are all still solid, but Reed and Morgan add another element to our receiving corps.
