LR and Saline county continue to expand trail systems
I-30 expanding to 10 lanes and now our bike paths are about to widen.
Taking this shite to the Spa City, special thanks to tAHTD and tObama
The hood getting them some new sidewalks, too

Pulaski County received $400,000 via Metroplan to widen the Arkansas River Trail along Pinnacle Valley Road from County Farm Road to the east edge of Pinnacle Mountain State Park, giving cyclists more room to ride.
Pulaski County officials want to widen the River Trail west from Two Rivers Park along County Farm Road to where it meets Pinnacle Valley, then north to Maumelle Park campground, about 2.4 miles. The trail widening would then extend to the east edge of Pinnacle Mountain State Park another mile, said Pulaski County Road and Bridge Director John Burton. The county would widen the bike lane along the two-lane road from 5 feet on each side to 12 feet on just one side, with 1-foot buffers.

Saline County received $296,000 toward completing phase two of its Old River Bridge restoration project, which includes bridge disassembly, inspections, repairs or replacements, reassembly and painting. The bridge, if restored with even more funding, would be used for pedestrians and cyclists and would abut space owned by a group that intends to create a park in the area.
In the same rounds of funding -- from both the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department and Metroplan -- Saline County officials have received about $800,000 to restore the 125-year-old Old River Bridge. The bridge, which closed in 1974 after being damaged when a truck full of concrete blocks tried to drive over its wooden-planked bottom, is part of plans for an extensive cycling trail from Little Rock to Hot Springs, the Southwest Trail.

Metroplan received 18 applications requesting $5.5 million this year and selected 13 projects to receive the $2.1 million in available funding.
The other $1.4 million in projects include $160,000 for the completion of sidewalks and buffer sidewalks where feasible along Roosevelt Road in Little Rock and $240,000 for the relocation of the pedestrian Springfield-Des Arc bridge in Faulkner County.

Great. More money wasted in that shithole

Meh, you're just catching up...a little.
NWA already has like 140 miles worth of connected, dedicated paved trails in its system. The Razorback Greenway is just the spine connecting them all, and it is 36 miles long.

First off, you're a terrible poster.
You posted something about trail expansion being announced and posted LR vs NWA.
In NWA, we hear something about more trails every other week. That's sort of like you posting something about an expansion at the Arkansas Arts Center and comparing it to Crystal Bridges. It's funny.
NWA outdoor amenities >>> LR outdoor amenities.

Still rustled, I see

Another great example of what a terrible poster you are. You're just a dumbass I guess. I have no other explanation. Posting "rustled" and "jelly" doesn't make your posts any better.
NWA people aren't impressed with LR trails. The city of Fayetteville has 40 miles of paved shared-use trails and 30 miles of natural surface trails, all by itself.
You're the one who constantly wants to bring up LR/NWA. Most people in NWA dgaf about LR and never go there for anything. You can't seem to quit NWA, though. Lots of projecting in your posts, always.

See, you don't know what "melt", "rustle" and "jelly" mean. They aren't effective retorts to someone pointing out your stupidity.
It must suck to live somewhere that you are constantly comparing to someplace else you'd rather be. I mean, I'd rather be in the Rockies somewhere a lot of the time, but at least I'm not pining for some in-state metro a couple of hours away. I wonder why you're stuck down there? Is it family? Finances? Child-custody? Or are you just a mediocre person in general?
Based on your typical posts, I'm going to assume it's the last one.

You aren't smart enough to be a deliberate troll. You're mainly here because nobody else will talk to you IRL.

I guess it depends on what outdoor activities you like. For hunting, fishing, and boating central Arkansas is far superior to NWA.

Is this true?

For hunting, fishing, and boating? It's absolutely true.
Central Arkansas is within an hour of some of the best duck hunting in the world. The best place to hunt big deer in the state is the delta, which is within an hour. The highest densities of deer start in the Sheridan area and stretch to the southern border. There is also far more public land available close to the metro than what is available in NWA.
You have Ouachita, DeGray, Catherine, and Hamilton all within an hour of the Metro and Greers Ferry is about an hour and a half. Maumelle, Winona, Brewer, Conway, and the Arkansas River (just off of the top of my head) are all close enough to make quick fishing trips.

Little Red, Saline River, Ouachita River, Caddo River, Lake Norrel, Harris Brake, Old Arkansas River, but they do have that Wal Mart Super Musuem

I'd agree that hunting is better in general closer to LR. There are more fishing options I guess, but in NWA you have the same bass-fishing. We host the FLW on Beaver Lake, and you're closer to cold-water fishing.
As for just outdoors activities like kayaking, hiking, etc, there are mountain hiking, biking and recreation areas within the city limits of Fayetteville as good as anything within 30 miles of Little Rock.
