And we fire bert at the end of the season. (This isn't the bad part)
But then auburn fires Gus and somehow some donors get thier way and we get his (God help us)
Would said donors then start our own version of #thenetwork and we start buying players and actually increase our recruiting?
Disclaimer: I am intoxicated and just thinking of odd ball shite.

If getting Gus meant we finally entered the real recruiting game then I’m all for it. I’m not ashamed to admit it.

I actually had the exact same feeling. Thus why I asked.

Ya'll think the fat man is really squeaky clean? I can kind of buy it.

I've heard we have turned guys away with thier hand out.

If we started cheating on that level, we’d be the next Ole Miss. I don’t think they’re fans quite grasp how bad this is going to end up for them.

I agree, if this administration decided to compete, then I could see myself getting involved again. The only thing that holds me back is I can't trust Long.

Is it bad I’m more opposed to hiring Gus than the buying the players part? He’s not the only wolf in sheeps (sweater vest) clothing I would think.

If we pay players, we might as well go get someone that's good at it because the NCAA would destroy Arkansas if they caught wind of it.
Trooper Taylor, come on down.

I guess if we aren't making bowls playing fair a pending probation in the future somewhere isn't that big a deal

I don't want Gus anywhere near our football program.
He wouldn't be able to recruit well enough to run his gimmicky offense here.

This is like taking the wingman's girl at the club

Who are these donors?

The difference in here and places like Auburn and Bama is they have an infrastructure for cheating that has been built upon for decades.
We need someone to come in to start laying the groundwork.
I know some people want to take the highroad and say don't cheat, but you need to come to the realization that we are way behind when it comes to cheating. If we're not willing to go the extra mile it takes to succeed in this conference then we shouldn't complain about wins and losses IMO.

Gus can stay away from our program, we can find another coach that isn't such a slime ball to cheat a bit.

Licious and ArHog... YES!!!
If we must cheat, at least do it with dignity

If Gus is mediocre at Auburn, he would be a dumpster fire here.
Pass.
Pass.

I'm not asking to get gus!!! I'm just asking if he would help us start cheating or not. Hell even miss st is buying players like Leo Lewis. Losing with integrity blows monkey dick. I'd rather win cheating. Than lose not cheating. As long as our coach doesn't call the boosters making the payments on his university phone, or call hookers, or stiff mama on her light bill. We all good.

I don't know any insider details or anything, but here's my take based on what I've seen:
Non blue-blood program comes out of nowhere and starts doing really well, a la Baylor, Ole Miss, Miami (back in the 80s). Eventually, that team gets hammered by the NCAA because something gets out of control or gets out. I'm sure the blue blood programs do some underhanded stuff like that, but they've been doing it for long enough that they're good at it, or the enforcement staff doesn't want to hammer a blue blood program.
If you're going to cheat and start going the sneaky underhanded route, you'd better be damn sure that you know what you're doing.

if we just had someone deep within the lottery system in the state of Arkansas.
And if that person would set up a fun of tickets purchased for these players, and if those tickets were winners in the thousands...
They are only truly advertised if they win bit time. 10-12 grand ... not so much.
Then there is the new medical marijuana businesses. It is amazing what kinds of money those businesses will be able to pass through their books. Very hard to pinpoint exactly the cash there. There is a reason most banks will not touch these federally at least...
the pull the ole lowder scheme at Oaklawn... Certain games will pay out more at specific dates and times...
ok, now I feel very dirty and need to go repent. But.... My mind sometimes goes there. Now, back to being uncommon with integrity and stuff.
