Damn. An icon. I swear that fella would record his commercials without rehearsing any of them. It all seemed ad libbed, which kinda made them more entertaining.

Man I just heard his commercial today that said "what a great day to be alive" :(
Thought he sounded in bad shape a few months ago when his last commercial came out.
RIP

who's gonna cheat for less now? My world is turned upside down. I haven't lived in Arkansas in 8 years but my wife and I were talking about those commercials on Monday.

I'm 59 years old and grew up in Hot Springs and have heard this since I can remember.
Sorry to hear he has passed.

Same here as I could tell a difference and wondered if he had any recent health issues.
He lived to be 85 and sounds like he had a good life. May he rest in peace.
