If we are only recruiting kids that are uncommon we can go ahead and scratch EMCC off our list of schools to visit.

Also if I was an Auburn fan it would scare the shite out of me that JF3 was competing for the starting job.

Watched the entire series the day before t came out.

Agree, Franklin wasn't impressive and I'm not sure what AU saw exactly. Felt bad for the academic girl because none of those guys really gave a crap. Maybe she can get a better gig from the series. Her and her daughter deserve better. At least, that's how I felt. She could be a real asset to a large program.

I don't see how any big time program would want to recruit their players after seeing the show.

Yeah, I am rooting for that woman to move up in the world after seeing that. She truly deserves it.

It's probably more eye opening to folks that didn't play athletics past high school.

I will say, most of the JUCO transfers I played with, some were like those guys and didn't give a rip. Not all, but some. They're infectious to a team.

This may come off wrong, but four year guys don't have as much self worth, I guess. As in, they're not as full as themselves. A lot of JUCO guys are highly recruited in high school and they'll carry that mentality with them. They'll still believe that SEC teams will be where they'll land, and they're better than the program they're at. Which was the biggest issue I had with JUCO guys coming when I played.

I guess a good example is the Byers kid out of FHS this year.

From everything I've heard, he will be heading the JUCO route. Now, depending on what kind of kid he is, he will go one or two ways in JUCO, as far as being a teammate...1)Do what coaches ask, hit the weights, hit the books, keep nose clean, get it over with, grow as a player, mature, keeps D1 offers...or...2)Talks about how he is going to Bama, doesn't put in work because Alabama already wants him, doesn't get the grades because Alabama already wants him, doesn't care about the team because his team is waiting on him, and Alabama ends up not recruiting him and he ends up at FCS school or DII and tells his new teammates how he was wanted by Alabama but now he is going to the league.

Happens all the time. As for Arkansas recruiting...we don't re-sign many at all that sign and go JUCO...part of it.

He was also the one that the coach asked what he would need to get his commitment and he said "not in front of the cameras."

i started watching this last night- got thru the first episode and probably about half of the second one. i'm afraid this show is going to soften me up the dumbasses who play college sports. ya know the ones that don't belong there but play anyway because they are good- dammit, i don't want to be on their side of things at all but that ollie guy i'm kinda loving at this point.

Keep watching. By the end you will realize everyone but the academic adviser is a complete moron.
