the same doom and gloomers in this thread were doing the same shite the middle of last season on this board smh

Really, I can't remember back that far too clearly but I don't remember any of the regulars being doom and gloom about the future of the football program under Bert at any time last season?

Was it maybe a couple of irregulars from HiV popping in to vent, or fans of other teams?

As long as Mike is still the coach, there's always a chance he can right the ship but anyone that can't see the contrast in performance so far between CBB and CMA since the first day they've arrived just don't want to see it (Dale). It's been pretty obvious to me that outside of Portis dropping in his lap, CMA has underperformed so far.

I see your point, but comparing a basketball rebuild job to a football rebuild job is comparing apples to oranges.

we've improved every year MA has been here. he deserves our patience to let him sort this out.

Maybe I'm naive, or don't log on enough, but I don't remember a ton of doom and gloom about where Bert had us last season.

tStreak sucked, and there was a bit of venting after the heartbreaking losses were piling up, but all in all we were extremely competitive and it was pretty clear we were on the brink of breaking through.

most of the complaints were about chaney last season.

i was searching for a thread the other day and came across one from early last season saying they weren't impressed with robb smith. well, that changed.

There is a faint glimmer of hope (I hate to even mention it) that Kapita could make it here at semester per radio, think it came from RD.

I fear the light at he end of the tunnel for MA might very well be an oncoming train. Mostly because expectations were up after last season and unless he can pull a rabbit out of his hat this year could get awfully ugly on the court.

I think he's a good coach and the program is quite a bit better then it was before he got here. If next season is a complete bust I'm worried that Jeff Long will choose to cut bait and look for a replacement.

2 year pass?

however long jeff long decides to give him

if this turns out to be a trend of players acting up and not an isolated incident, bet MA is gone within 2 years. based on wins and losses though, MA probably has 3 or 4 more years to show a trend of winning or losing. it took 4 years to show his current trend of improving.

Well, they've all been released from custody now at least.

They were supposed to have a 7:45am hearing but I was thinking that was tomorrow... was it today?

That only takes the other half of the team a few minutes to print

It was probably those thug baseball players that were behind all of this. They just don't go after whitey.

Can you please stop with these failed attempts at witty comments? It's almost like you're happy this happened so you could win your little e-fued.

Completely different scenarios the football program was losing on the field and low on talent on the roster, the basketball was losing on the court, low on talent on the roster, and a complete disaster off the court.

Completely different levels of support.

CBB has received every thing he has asked for.

Jeff Long and the university has, at this date, still failed to deliver on promises made during the hiring process of Anderson.

Football and basketball are on par or the tops of the SEC/Country in terms of support from the athletic department and university, Basketball is bottom half of the SEC and mid-major level in terms of support on a national scale.

Anderson will not be fired after this season.
