Don't get mad at someone for defending them at this point.
It appears a single counterfeit $20 was used to make a purchase. At this point, we don't know where they got it. It could have been from anywhere.
Let's let the facts come out and see where this goes.
I think we can all agree Jocrey Williams doesn't seem bright enough to pull this off and Beard doesn't have a background with this type of thing.

Link said they had them on tape making multiple transactions with multiple fake bills, $20's and $50's.
If that is true, pretty safe to say being removed from the basketball team is the least of their problems. This would be serious jail time.
No big deal though, Malik Monk played in a tournament game the other night and played 4 on 5 and his team still won, so I think we'll be ok.

Can't vouch for the other two, but I've watched Williams play for three years and he's very susceptible to the fake, so it wouldn't surprise me if his story checks out.

This could be a huge hit. Technically, our basketball program lost 4 players today.
5 years in and coming off a 27 win season, it's not going to look good being .500 or less in Mikes 6th season. No matter what happened to get there.
