Frat KA is getting a house basically right across from the Pi Phi gate.

Badass location for them, but I wish they would keep a true "sorority row" along Maple and build a frat row along stadium. This effs with that idea.

It will be between KKR and Try-Delt. Man those boys will be around some fine ladies (not pictured)

Lucky frickers. When I was there 10 years ago, it was fairly tough to get the ladies back to our fraternity's house mostly because it was on Stadium. It's awesome on game day, but non-function nights were a different story, whereas these guys are right there in the thick of it.

On a side note, it's nice to see the UA Greek system trying to keep up with the jump in enrollment. There weren't enough sororities for the number of girls going through rush when I was there, and the fraternity pledge class numbers were creeping in the 60s and 70s my senior year.

Sigma Chi is between Pi Phi and AOP. The Phi Mu house will be on the opposite corner of Leverett from KKG. Its going to be a palace.

KA, Phi Mu and the new Pi Phi should all be done next fall.

Chi Omega is renovating and adding on. So are a few others, I can't remember which ones off the top of my head. At least one on Stadium.

Right next to KKG, which at least until last year was the largest greek house in the nation.

What is too bad is they are building bigger houses but not attractive ones. In the process they are tearing down some really cool ones across the country that are much better built.

Ours have been positive improvements IMO. If you are building a frat/seat house today and it doesn't have columns, you are probably doing it wrong.

That said, Pike stuck with the mid century modern theme and it looks great.

Pike had no choice. That building is on the National Register of Historic places, and designed by one of the co-founders of the school of architecture, forget which one. The U of A made them maintain the same architecture to renovate.

Didn't UofA Pike just get some honor?

Weird, because they used to always be in some type of hot water.

Most recent thing I can think of them being in the news for is a "Fried Chicken and 40s" party on the last MLK day

Old news

Pikes did that back in the late 70's to early 80's and it made the Wall Street Journal. It was interesting as the chapter was integrated at the time and it was the black members that suggested it. Fried chicken, watermelon, and hairy buffalo for all. Greta party but leave it to some yankee to get the facts wrong.

That Phi Mu house is ridiculous. Architecture looks pretty cool too.

Interested to see what the Pi Phi house is going to look like, their old one was really cool.

The Greek scene has absolutely continued to explode. It was getting huge in 2006 when I pledged but has apparently just gone exponential.

Pi Phi is under construction right now. They got on it fast. Here's what its supposed to look like, from the corner of Maple & West Ave.
