I'm very much looking forward to our game this year and learning more about Arky. Our programs have both been through the wringer recently but it also looks like both are finally finding some footing. I hope both of us make some serious noise this year.
Also, true story: the best visiting fan experience I've had was with Arky fans. To give you an idea of how nice they were, they actually talked me into wearing their hog hat (took some convincing to get me to do it but eventually they won out -- they snapped a picture of it as well
) and told me about how to call the hogs. We weren't in an area to really call the hogs in full force but if we had been they'd probably have pressured me into trying. It was truly a great experience.

Welcome.
To remain aboard the tFlagship you will have to follow a couple rules.
First you will start a troll thread on tRant blasting the University of Arkansas or its fans every 2 or 3 weeks.
You will then try desperately to counteract that by posting a random thread on this board asking something out of left field.
The last rule is you will say mean things to wmr at all times. You'll go out of your way to shite on him on this board and in real life.
Enjoy your stay.

In all seriousness, that would be zero not even a 1. And it applies to all of them. Although we have a collective case of the sadz about Pearl and I think he does too -- jumped too soon, imo. I'm more angry that our AD fricks up so often although I do think Hart got the Barnes hire right. Butch is another one we're thrilled with (no BS). I suppose there's something about an AD needing to save his skin that helped with hiring Barnes.
Hope that answers your questions (yeah I know too serious but that's me for the most part).

Barnes is an "OK" hire, it hard to say any coach who was outcoached by Pel is a "good" hire.
Pearl is extremely over-rated, people buy in too much to his rah-rah antics.
Both are better than Howland.

Visiting Neyland is the best road trip in the SEC. Most Vol fans have class. The alter to LSU.

Personally, I think Barnes is the perfect hire for us. There are still questions, especially with the current roster. But he's won more games, including tourney games than Pearl could ever dream of. And I say that as someone who loves Pearl.

Pretty much. I love you guys though despite what the rest of my fan base generally tends to think. The long off season leading up to last year's opening weekend got the best of both sides.
Headed back up to Fayetteville on April 17 for the weekend and then again on May 8. Looking forward to spending some time up there. It's been awhile

Welcome aboard Prof, its good to have you here. I'll admit, you have joined during a bit of slow period. As football season creeps nearer and our withdrawal from watching increases expect things to heat up.
Best of luck for y'all in the upcoming season. With, of course, the exception of our game but you know how it is. I like what the Vols are building out there and it will be interesting to see just how far y'all go next year.

No worrieas about that. Pearl will do a fantastic job for you if you give him time. I expect he'll also grow quite fond of Auburn and TBH if I had to pick an SEC school for him to land at I would've picked Auburn for many reasons. Besides, the way y'all handled his return to TBA was first class. It truly impressed me. And thanks for the warm welcome.
Thanks to those I missed as well. I didn't forget you but I was a bit worried about making a post for every response and welcome but rest assured I've read them all and appreciated them.

That's because people get too emotionally invested in a message board. We have fans that do the same. I have good buddies in the Army who are fans of almost every other SEC team. I usually have no issue cheering them on unless they are playing the Hogs, then it becomes a huge shite talking fest
