Just rewatched Hogs vs Tulsa, 2008

What a lowkey great game from what I consider the inflection point era for college football. Hogs vs Gus and his no huddle, card holding undefeated #18 Golden Hurricane. Arkansas transitioning from ground and pound to Petrino shotgun. So many storylines:
Jimmy Dykes was the color commentary for the game. Smh. Dykes also does an extended interview with Pelphrey. He was very cheery about the upcoming season
We jump out up 17-0 (!), they battle back to tie 23-23.
You can see Mallett and Wilson patrolling the sidelines in sweats while Dick leads the team
Charles Clay beasts on us in this game. This Tulsa team was loaded at WR
Our pass defense today is leaps and bounds better than then. Isaac Madison, Matt Harris, etc. Wow
London Crawford sucks. You can tell Joe Adams and Jarius Wright will be stars
Tulsa offensive line averages 315 lbs buts runs hurry up no huddle
DJ Williams does work for us against their tiny DBs
Dennis Johnson houses a kick return for the game winning TD
Petrino is such a bitch... Constantly bitching at officials and shite
There would've been 10 more roughing the passed penalties if this game were officiated today
This font in our end zone is badass and frick anyone who says otherwise. Bring it back!!

I was so confused the first time I came back to campus and it was gone. The place was a dump when I was in school but I still went to some great parties there. Hard to find a better bunch of guys.

I still remember the Tulsa loss in the 70's when Steve Cox kicked 3 field goals to beat the Hogs 9-3. Almost had the feeling of the Citadel game.
