I am originally from a small town there. Moved down here when I was ten. Curious if I am related or know any of these folks on here! Where I am from, a lot of double relations.

Each time I go to Arkadelphia I remember the devasting 1997 tornado.

The city has recovered well since. LINK

I'm most familiar with the towns in Western Clark County such as Amity, Alpine, and Hollywood. That's deer hunting country. Razorback Ricky Norton was from the small town of Okolona. LINK

And then there's the ghost town of Graysonia which is an interesting place to see. LINK. I was fortunate to get to see some of its ruins about 35 years ago.

I have been there and drove the area. My Grandpa was head of road department. When I was a young child he would take me to work with him and we would "ride the roads". I learned to drive on Skyline drive between Chaleybeate (sp) mountain and Iron Mountain Marina.

Amity

Did you ever attend school there? We used to take deer to the FFA building in Amity for processing and played Amity now and then in basketball prior to school consolidation as well as Kirby, Glenwood, etc. We used to float the Caddo River a lot back in the day and Amity was a take out/put in point depending on the float.

Long ago and before my time the town of Rosboro, which is a few miles away from Amity, was a thriving timber town and there's lots of interesting history in that whole area particularly with respect to the timber industry.
