I don’t understand how any functioning Hog fan that breathes oxygen thinks that a rivalry series with stAte would be beneficial at all

We have a weird portion of our fanbase who are more fans of the state of Arkansas than they are the Razorbacks. They want to have a second team to root for so they can switch t-shirts whenever the other team is struggling.
It comes with being the only instate program. You get a ton of fans who are simply here because we are the only show in town.
You also see the same problem with fans of little rock. They are all diehard Razorback fans as long as we pretend WMS is a palace and play half our home games there. The minute we start pulling games they start bitching and say they will find another team.
The solution? Hope that little rock u starts a program up. Let the lru, jonesboro state, and conway college fight for king of the peasants.
I think it would be awesome for us to schedule UAPB just in spite of the other instate programs.

Let's admit it. A lot of us here don't want to play State because they will be a hard out and will probably win 3 out of every 10.

It's the only game that you could guarantee the stadium would be filled regardless of records.
