What we've been saying since he was hired despite the majority of rantards spewing shite about us needing to run a spread offense and you can't out Bama Bama.

Seriously who in the hell would have thought before the season that Alabama, Mississippi State, LSU and Ole Miss, with 3 of them in the top 10 and the other in the top 20 would score a COMBINED 31 points on Arkansas.

I'm glad we played Arkansas when we did, I know it was a 14-13 game. But Bama won the game. Hoggs has got better over the last two weekend. LSU and Ole Miss both got shut out. That the first time the Hoggs had back to back shut out in the SEC games. I think that Ole Miss use 10 QB during the game.

Arky is getting their stride. They will be a force next year.

I wonder if we have any chance of being ranked. It seems crazy for a 6-5 team but maybe Long can fix up some home town cooking

the mouth breathers across the country will revolt

It'd be great sailing, but the team honestly has earned it. ESPN's power poll has had the Hogs around #20 for at least a month or more.

It really is interesting. Petrino's teams had a lot of success and never seemed to garner much respect from the media. Bielema's have had very little success and the media seems to love 'em. Hopefully we'll see the same benefit USC receives from the media's love affair with Spurrier and it'll greatly help recruiting.

I've been skeptical too but am ecstatic with the direction we're headed.

Go Hogs!

I attribute that largely to Petrino's personality - good coach, but a complete arse. ... Bielema is personable & comes across as genuine. His own story as a walk on player who earned success helps a lot too. The perception (and appearance) of him as a big, tough guy who demands hard work & respect, but is also emotional & "real" & cares about his players is a true one - nothing phony or shady about him - which makes him very likable to the football media. ... Toward the end of yesterday's game, Gary was talking about what a "charismatic" coach CBB is & how when he walks into a room, "he owns it." I just think he's the polar opposite of what Petrino was regarding personality & coaching style, which is helping the Hogs a lot in the media.

Eta - Also, the Razorbacks' very swift "fall" after all the bs with what went on with Petrino, his firing, then the shitshow that was Johnelle, and the struggle to climb back with Bielema is what the media loves. They eat it up. Everybody roots for the underdog, but this struggle for the Razorbacks has been particularly hard with all of the national attention & humiliation the players have suffered. People couldn't help but feel bad for them, including the media, so their apparent turnaround is a great story for them - and us.

It means so much more to see their week by week growth. Sad that Korliss couldn't get his head out of being an Osceola thug and understand the opportunities he was pissing away.

I'd love for us to have won those 3 games and be a top 10 team w/ a 9-2 record, but I think being 6-5 and riding the roller coaster with them and seeing how each and every possession became a test of their wills and a testament to their strength just means more.
