I've convinced myself that the Toledo game was to pay off a gambling debt.

Stonehog,

It was an inside job man. We know Bielema loves to hit the casinos, loves to swill, and can put normal men under before midnight.

Ohio is a dirty corrupt backwater that has been mobbed up forever. Youngstown was and still is a big time mob town. Being the middle point between Chicago & NYC a lot of business went down in Youngstown.

Toledo is a middle point b/n Detroit, Chicago, Indy, Philly, KC, Pittsburgh, L'ville, Cincy, and it's an easy entry port for smuggling from and to Canada.

We were a 21.5 favorite. Some places had it up to -24 before kickoff. Seems like sucker money came in on Arkansas heavy. Arkansas is a team that fricked Vegas mightily last year and the last 3 years actually. They were off on almost all the spreads last year and the 2 seasons before we were easy money to fade. We couldn't cover a spread to save our lives. Then last season we beat nearly every spread.

With all the hype we bought into despite still being a fragile team with lots of youth and loss of leadership and razor thin depth w/ proven players. This was a perfect game to mask shenanigans. It would be plausible that good Toledo team w/ a former Alabama QB could give Arkansas fits.

The coaching was completely off and out of character for our team. We couldn't do anything with our strengths, we went heavy on our weaknesses and w/ a weak minded QB that has never proven to be able to win a game, we were set up bros. We couldn't get a pass rush, yet never blitzed. Toledo was fricking us up w/ their blitz and run blitz selling out to stop our rush. We couldn't recognize that? We couldn't give them any of their own medicine?

All the press about Toledo being w/o their top RB and their top LB only pushed money to the Arkansas side even more. All of Bielema's talk about being deep at RB how JWill's injury wouldn't affect us... pushed money further to us. The press about the DL playing so well... maybe that should've been a sign that our OL was underperforming.... the spin went the other way, also pushing money to the Arkansas side.

Vegas had to have cleaned clocks this past weekend. I'm so glad I didn't bet. The site I use was overloaded and my account didn't get funded. Thank the lord b/c I would've got housed. I still can't understand why the coaches schemed us out of that game, not trying to pressure the QB will be one I may never forgive. Especially considering they had an OL w/ all new starters. There's no logic that explains why we let Ely pick us apart all day.

My brother and I were just discussing this. Seems to be all more of this lately. I said the same thing. I mean he did meet his wife at a blackjack table in Vegas. Now the question is....what goes on w TT. I think we drum their arse and cover easily. If we don't, y'all will know I lost an arse load of money and will likely go on an epic melt.

No, I didn't bet the Toledo game. My rants were not debt induced.

I thought the same damn thing during and after the game

some of those penalties happened at points where we were just getting momentum. felt like the refs were trying to make a point or they had money on the line

You have no idea how much this would cheer me up as regards our football season if it were true. I used to live in Chicago and DC, I'll take venal corruption over blithering incompetence any day.

Hamburglar's too quick. He does have a Nuttesque build.

Didn't the Hambrglar play a lot of basketball and would steal the ball?
