Those are starting salaries.
COL is also relatively cheap around here. Still, most folks working their way up don't get into those "big nice homes" until they are a decade or more into their career.

Sorry folks, but looks like one your commodities will see a spike in price for a day or 2.
A previously convicted felon is now facing several felony charges after police allegedly found him in possession of 337 pounds of marijuana, two guns, ammunition and several items of drug paraphernalia on Tuesday.
Vincent Clemente Marquez, 69, is facing felony charges of possession of firearms, possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with purpose to deliver marijuana.
THV11's CBS News affiliate KFSM reported that officials were serving a search warrant to Marquez at his home, when the Fourth Judicial Task Force found 337.5 pounds of packaged marijuana, more than $81,000, two guns, ammunition and several drug paraphernalia items.
Sgt. Craig Stout with the Fayetteville police stated that the amount of marijuana they seized had the street value of $1 million, equaling to 216,000 joints.

Fayetteville is less than a 9 hour drive from the Colorado state line. We won't miss a beat.

9 hours for some smoke, sounds nuts. Maybe for a kilo of coke, but weed?
Posted on 1/8/16 at 5:35 pm to Pigfeet
I'm just saying, the free market will provide. Nobody is driving 9 hours to smoke.
People will drive 9 hours to make a few thousand, though.

Here's a story about one of Zweig's North College Ave projects. I hear he is working on another one nearby, too.

Was just discussing that bust with a friend. The actual story is pretty comical and crazy. I think the guy had someone else using his place as a safe house and manufacturing facility. The stuff found on him indicates he's making wax. This dude doesn't seem like he can wipe his arse, much less make wax.

JB hunt will start you at high 40's low 50's in their DCS training division. But truck & rail training area is about 45. Brokerage (if you get in the Launch program) is around 47 as well. Was mart MLP program starts at mid 50's.

Zweig is such a beast
Meh.
Some of his stuff I like but making the entire town look craftsmen is starting to piss me off.
Pretty sure he's a huge carpetbagger too.

He's a pretty nice guy. I like Zweig quite a bit. His classes are by far the most educational class you can get in the school of business. undergrad wise.

Explain that.
I see that his style is somewhat limited, at least in his projects so far, but most of the homes he has renovated have been improved a great deal by his work. We have an overabundance of modernists in this city, all aiming to be the next E. Fay Jones or Marlon Blackwell. Until there's a better traditional-style developer in Fayetteville, I won't even start begrudging Zweig's continued work to improve the city.

Springdale has a marketing video for the city.
This has to be a first. I don't know if it will ever be a city of choice in NWA, but I like that people are finally giving a damn about the downtown area and trying to improve quality of life there. It's good for all of NWA to have Springdale be nicer than it is.
They would need to revamp Thompson from Outback Steakhouse all the way to the Benton County line for the city to start looking decent. Too many billboards, too much clutter, too many tall signs and not enough greenery and personality.

There are some killer ethnic food joints in Sdale.
I crushed some Pho last weekend when I was in town at a run down shack of a building. It was awesome.
Had a 10 year old fill my drink. Love it.

Their new logo and slogan (We're Making It Happen) have not gone over quite so well. The Chamber spent $150,000 on branding with CRJW agency. Bryce Harrison (whose work I really like) did the logo, and I like it. Springdalians, however, did not.
Can follow the controversy on the Live Springdale Facebook Page. LINK
I love the people that say, "I would have made them something that good for free!" and the other ones saying, "They should have opened this up as a contest for schools and picked a winner from that!"
The Springdale attitude toward design explains a lot.
They all seem to think that the Chamber just cut a check to Bryce for $150,000 for throwing out some doodles. They don't get that the 150K has a ton more deliverables attached than a logo.

A few new things coming to downtown Springdale this year:
Core pub
Apple Blossom pub
Phat Tire
Good to see the effort Rogers and Springdale are putting into their downtowns.

Saw they're bringing some monster rock climbing gym to Fayettevile. currently have one in Nashville.
Cool I guess, although another white person sport I don't partake in myself.
