I am not a big college baseball guy, so let me preface my post with that.

However, I am friends with a couple former players, both who had not only very good careers here but also sniffed the MLB. They have both said on multiple occasions that DVH is not a good coach. I dont keep up with Hogs baseball enough to know outside of the success we seem to have once in a while. But, I have brought it up to each of them a couple of times, and its never positive. I actually was under the impression he was pretty good, and one of them corrected me with a laugh, and then "No... hes not".

Who knows, seems like he has a long leash

Yeah, that was apparent a long time ago when we lost a stud player to Southern Miss. Can't recall the name this late at night but someone will remember him, he was our best player and I believe a 3B, left to go play with his bro I believe and then later said while that was a factor, he hated DVH and had to get out.

But there is always good and bad, I follow a handful of our former players like James McCann/Keuchel/Cox and they all tweet/RT Arkansas baseball stuff and DVH stuff.

Have watched them more this year than I have most years due to moving etc and the shite this team is pulling has been pretty inexcusible considering the money we've put into the program.

How many games have we literally lost via wild pitch or beaned batter this year? Pretty sure its been a legit 3.

That's little league shite and should not happen when your program is supposedly as developed and "elite" as ours is.

I get you can't have dominant pitching every year but no excuse to not even be able to execute simple baseball plays. The play where the pitcher cut the pick off throw etc etc. Constant errors. Its absurd this year. Some of the coaching decisions?

If they wind up making a regional I will be pleasantly surprised but I still won't call it an overwhelming success. We should be making one every single year and the amount of years we've missed a super is pretty weak notch.

Although I really don't know who we would get better, it just really sucks and is typical of being a Razorback sports fan.

SC can do it, Vandy can do it, why the FRICK can we not do it?

I'm with you. I don't define our success on regional appearances, nor would any powerhouse program. This isn't basketball or football. There might be 100 teams that put money into their programs. So if you make the tournament your in the top 64 out of maybe 100. That alone is nothing to brag about when you factor in our resources.

Not saying DVH should be on the hot seat but it does get frustrating watching postseason baseball at venues other than Baum. We've hosted 2 super regionals in all those years of consecutive regional trips.

I can't even follow it anymore.

Needed this sweep and we frickin blow it.

Being a Hog fan really really sucks sometimes.
