JaMario Bell has been a forgotten man.

The long snapper might be one of the more important recruits from the incoming class. He was a Top 10 guy from Sailer and Rubio and he's got good size. Being flawless on snaps is huge to a winning team.

I'm guessing that Stewart will be our return man this seaso and if that's the case, 165 is fine. But if he is gonna play WR at that weight them he'll have a bad time.

Also, is Jamario Bell is already up to 253 then he might see the field sooner than expected.

I'm almost afraid we might be a little slow on pass protection.

I'd hate to not use Stewart's redshirt just to return kicks and/or punts. Still hoping JoJo can take it. Cornelius was good there too but I'd assume he'll have a bigger role at WR this year

You are correct. Mizzou killed us last year with speed rushers.

My guess is that they build up a little weight right before the Fall so that the players don't have to worry about losing too MUCH weight by the time the season starts.

I'm hoping that's the case. Skipper in particular got beat by speed a lot last year without the added weight. If they can add that weight and not lose any quickness, great. But I'd rather not trade off.

Tretola is one that was touted to have lost a good deal of weight going into spring practice. My hopes are that he lost a lot of fat then and has since added 12 pounds of muscle.

Agreed. My first thought when reading about his gain was "meh, that might not be a great thing" but I'm hopeful it's fat lost/muscle gained. I yield to no one in my love for Coach Herb, so I doubt Tretola has been sitting around eating Oreos all offseason.

He lost like 50lbs from when he arrived. They probably had him eating nothing but rice, sushi and vegetables for 6 months

Going back to TJ Smith, he's going to play DT...not DE. That's pretty interesting. He could be an early contributor on passing downs.
