we'd be in the sweet 16 right now. UNC is one of the best 4 seeds i've ever seen. i dont' know WTF happened during the regular season but this team is good

This is why expectation levels set pre-season based on tourney results is so dumb.

Its all about the matchups and possibly drawing a "hot team".

Today, with the current "seeding" system, it seems the committee stacks the deck against certain teams each year, while creating cake walks for others.

I'm not saying its rigged, but the fact "intriguing" match ups happen in the early rounds far more than it should based on season results can't be ignored.

They tried to create a UK/Louisville match up last year, and did create a WSU/Kansas match up this year for example. Both WSU and Kansas were thought to be top 15 teams all season long, so how exactly are the meeting up in during the first weekend based on that logic?

North Carolina was also the team we had the poorest matchup with.

I hope Portis and Qualls are watching the game and getting sick thinking how close we played them and how they're doing tonight against Wisky.

When I watch I'm in the fog of fandom so I don't know- why did we have all those turnovers? Was it more our doing or theirs?

75 percent of our turnovers were on us against UNC. Sloppy passing and we weren't playing strong with the ball. Frustrating that it cost us the game of all things.

Wofford's style isn't a good "match up" for us either.

Use too it was the teams were ranked #1-xx, then a bracket made strongest against weakest.

Now days it seems as if there is manipulation going on to create matchups good for TV and/or to make teams "earn" every round which isn't how a true bracket is designed to work, the better teams are supposed to have the easiest path on paper.

That's what I thought. Yes, very frustrating maybe more now.

See: Wichita State, 2014.

Getting Kentucky in the 2nd round was terrible. Kentucky was not an 8 seed and they gave the undefeated team one of the toughest draws ever.

I know we can beat UNC 50 percent of the time. We fell on the wrong side because of STUPID turnovers

Even if we got past UNC, Wisconsin would have eaten us alive. Huge mismatch against those giants.

Truth. But, getting there would have been nice.
