9 or 10
Ole Miss game will decide which way it goes

Hell, I think 10 wins is still attainable as long as Allen stays healthy.

Said quite literally the exact same thing before kickoff last night.
Bert's teams always get stronger as the season goes and our physicality wears on teams. I was telling everyone at our house that we can lose this game (which we did), lose to Bama, and still very well win 10 games.
I'm with you in that 9 regular season wins hinges on Ole Miss. We've also got to win the winnable road games at Auburn, State and Mizzou.

I still say 8 but 9 is do-able
I had TCU as an L and A&M as a W, so in my book we are still on schedule and Allen is better than I thought he would be

I thought 6-6 to 8-4 before the season. I'm up to 8-4 or 9-3 right now.
I think we lose to Alabama and we drop one or two to other SEC foes.

I don't think that's unrealistic at all. Allen is the real deal, I was impressed by a lot in last nights game.
Speaking of, great game last night. Only heard great reports from folks in Dallas, and it was a slugfest in the field. Will definitely be pulling for Arkansas the rest of the year. Just need one of y'all to keep me in check next time I start bleeding in the Scoreboard

Regular season? Easily. I don't think 10-wins in the regular season is far fetched.

I'm actually not real discouraged yet. Tamu is a damn good team and we just made some very uncharacteristic mistakes in that game.

I was optomistic at 8-4 when it started. We certainly could win more though.

Said last night...other than Bama, I don't see anyone on our schedule I'm willing to mark down as a loss.
They're all winnable games. Not saying we will, just that it's possible. I'm sure we'll frick up at least one game we should win.

I agree.
A&M is improved.
I thought we were pretty even except they overcame their turnovers and we didn't.
It was a much closer game than the score shows.
I'm pleasantly optimistc.

I disagree.
We get Ole miss at home. And I think by the time we play them they will be pretty banged up.
I think Florida is the key game.

9 or 10 + a nice bowl
What receivers will be returning?

Eh, same could be said about us in terms of being banged up considering that we play Bama the week before. Ole Miss plays Memphis next week, then has a bye week prior to our game. So I wouldn't expect them to be too banged up.

Don't disagree. I should clarify to say both Ole Miss and Florida are pivotal games. If we split those, 9-3 is in cards with the potential to get to 10 wins with a bowl victory.

I think they are about where a lot of us thought they would be right now; maybe a tick better. Hawgeye's prediction thread is stickied up top and this is my prediction from July in DC's prediction thread. LINK
I think some of the questions we had still remain with the O-line, some aspects of the D, and the place kicking game. The big question was QB and three games in we've pretty well put that one to bed so I'm seeing us being more optimistic than we would have been pre-season. The coaches are going to have to do their job, too, though.
I agree with you 100% regarding what you said in another thread that we are really more suited as a passing team vs. some power running team like some others think of us when they think of our offense. And it's really been steadily heading that way with each season with CBB at the helm IMO. Part of that may be Enos, part of that may be injuries with our key rushers or a combination of those and other factors, but it is at least my perception that we're more pass oriented and just need to remember that when we advance to the Red Zone.
When you can throw like Allen and have a good corps of receivers who can catch and steadily advance the ball each drive, who gives a damn whether we reach some expectation or perception that we're some smash mouth run it down your throat football team. I like to see a running game and good running backs which we've had over the years but we just need to do what is most effective considering what we have.

I had us at 8-4 with losses to Bama, Fla, aTm, and splitting between Ole Miss and TCU. After seeing some of the Fla game film they are beatable and I now think that could be a toss up game for us.

Cornelius, lose most of our WR's and Sprinkle but AA, RW3 and 4/5 OL back.

I need to watch the game again, if I can bring myself to do it.
I'm very optimistic about our offense and it's ability to continue to move the ball (outside of bama) and hopefully figure things out a bit on the goal line.
I'm pretty pessimistic about our defense. We got completely dismantled in the second half. A&M is good, but 35 points in a half?
We didn't seem to slow a&m down much in the second half, just as we blew our lead to tcu.
The shine is coming off of Smith a bit for me.
