I hope we can upset Wofford

I'm in North GA and sports radio here and in the Carolina region has been great the last couple days. Every talking head picking Wofford over us. They seem to think the Vegas line actually means something. One win over us and their coach will get a Power 5 job offer; beat UNC and he can just kick Roy Williams out and take over lol. People see that 5 beside our name and assume we fall to the Cinderella from Spartanburg.are we getting any respect in your part of the country?

True. An exact quote I heard on one station today was "I don't think Arkansas can hang with Wofford for 40 minutes." Wtf?

How wrong you are.
UVA keeps the opponent in the game just as much as themselves with their philosophy and style of play.

Its interesting how they are clinging to only our match up for an upset, a game that is arguably the strongest 5 against the weakest 12.
While at the same time these "experts", the relevant ones anyway have been saying for the past couple of months what a tough out Arkansas would be in the tourney because of their unique style of play and short turn around/prep time in the tourney.

Pace of play can lead to huge point differentials during the normal scoring droughts in a game, a team can be down by 15 then up by 15 in a matter of 10 minutes.
UVA's style means a team can be on a 5 minute scoring drought and down 4 due to each team having had 4 possessions during that time frame.
Wofford will need to shoot near 40% from 3 to have any shot at winning.
Arkansas has too much size down low, Harris and Portis should have a field day against their interior D. Basically everyone but Beard and Durahm will be able to post up their many on the blocks.

The point Mike made on the clip I watched was that all the teams in the tourney are good regardless of seed. Then they went on to talk to Zimmerman who went into specifics about Wofford.

I'm sure you're right. I just thought it was strange that we wouldn't bother till a few hours before the game.
