I'm sure I'll get 40 down votes and everyone calling me a dipshit or something and I know it would never happen but how would you feel about us getting someone like briles or someone similar. Yeah he's the scum of the earth Yada Yada Yada bit the guy wins. Would you take a sleeze ball who would get you 10+ wins at least once every 3 years in the sec even if he recruited thugs and lowlifes? Honestly, I might because he's not my preacher he's a football coach his job is to win games and as long as the thugs don't commit crimes while their on the hill and stay eligible idgaf. I wanna see a championship football team in fayettville.

That dude was told about several players who had allegations ranging from domestic violence, to rape, to aggravated assault, etc. and did nothing to discipline them. I wouldn't attend a Hog football game for the rest of my life if that man ever got a job here, because that's not careless or inconsiderate; that's a man who cares more about W-L's than basic moral integrity, such as not wanting to see other people get raped.

That being said, if I was our AD, I wouldn't have fired Petrino if he just crashed his bike. Unfortunately, he put his mistress on the payroll, and that's corruption, not just an affair.

No one asserted that Art Briles was the rapist. And please dissect that last statement. No one commits full-on sexual assault, gets away without harsh punishment, and just "changes". That goes against everything we've learned about human psychology in our time on Earth.
I'm willing to accept that maybe Briles didn't know quite everything that was going on at his program. But he was the man charged with bringing football success to Baylor, and he did so with rave, unprecedented results. Once he did so, he was faced with the burden of raised expectations and continued success. He didn't narrowly miss the playoffs a couple years in a row without turning his back and plugging his ears to some problems within the program. You can't do that when downright sinister shite is going on.
Baylor was closer to a national championship than we ever were with Petrino, and needed Briles magnitudes more than we needed Petrino if they wanted to have any kind of relevance. And he still got fired. Ruminate on that for a moment.

Yeah I don't want anyone commuting crimes at the University but I'm ok with taking questionable charter guys to get the results I want.

I just don't understand why you think that we can fill the roster up with guys who have a history of causing problems and expect them to not cause any problems.

Where did I say rape was ok? Nowhere. All I'm saying is we need to say the hell with being squeeky clean and start focusing on winning. I do not condone rape or anything similar to it that happened at baylor but I do think we could use a coach who doesn't mind overlooking a few minor character flaws. The fact that we never offered byers is proof beilama probably won't cut it. When you've got talent like tgat in a state like ours that usually doesn't have much talent you don't let it waltz to Tuscaloosa.
