...does this guy come across as John Edwards, Anthony Weiner, and Jeol Osteen all wrapped into one. I just saw his Marty Smith interview and the guy is seriously almost crying because as he said,
"His character has been attacked."

I've seen some full of shite, creepy, slimy televangelists and politicians, but this guy is at the top of the list. And to add to all his self righteous lying, he weaseled out and wouldn't even talk about the "New Allegations" because it's ongoing.

Also, shame on Marty Smith for not asking him tough questions and pointing to the mountain of evidence and even smoking-gun player admissions to cheating and violations. I thought I was watching Oprah or some sappy chick show because Smith kept asking about his feelings and his pain, which he all brought on himself!

Bert says some stupid, off-the-cuff, stuff sometimes, but the dude runs a clean(clean being a relative term in big time college athletics) and has a team full of actual high character, good kids. If they turn out to be bad and trouble makers...goodbye. Holy hell was that interview creepy, I advise anyone to watch and enjoy the slime-ball fest Freeze puts on.

I can't decided which will happen first with Freeze: a shooting spree or a sex scandal where he's caught with a transexual midget. He just has that unwholesome look and sound to him.

These are the same types of things people said to us constantly when we had Bobby Petrino and we all fricking ignored them because we were winning

Really different situations imo. Most Arkansas fans (at least the ones I dealt with) knew Petrino was a scumbag and sleazy. Most Ole Miss fans are still trying to portray Freeze as some great man who made some simple mistakes. You are right that we were ok with that if we were winning but he wasn't cheating in the same sense that Freeze and Ole miss have been.

I won't claim to be someone who goes to church more than two times a year myself but there are some really good religious folks that get drug down by the snake oil salesmen. It's like we need a detector on who is and who isn't- kinda like a version of gaydar I suppose.

My first clue is if they say they are holy. Even members of the clergy are suspect,

Any football coach that says he's holy either doesn't know what it means, or is full of shite!

I think they are more similar than we would like to admit. Both are lambasted by every other fanbase as slimy, both bring great success, both are caught with their pants down, and both fanbases have large contingents rush to defend coach

Maybe you are just referring to this site. Most of the people I dealt with knew he was a dick and wouldn't try to argue that. I do agree that people were ok with it because of the results.

how are the two similar in any sense?

Petrino was anything but religious in his beliefs, ways, actions, he didn't even try....

Freezus acts as if he is the holy in the water...

Petrino has been and was a scum bag prior to coming here.

Freezus is as scummy as they come, but acts as if it is beneath him.

I see nothing similar in the two.

Here was my thoughts on Petrino. He was an absolute Bastard, but he was winning, therefore he was our absolute bastard!

Freezus, Slimy and disingenuous as possible...

See above. There are a bunch of points I made that you didn't address

I dont care about the holier than thou bs. Although it's not like Petrino was going around asking for absolution either
