How many arrests per year can you tolerate for 10 win avg. seasons?

Nice guys finish last. "Uncommon" is the excuse to not recruit studs that could beat Bama but a little hard to reign in off the field.

Football's a violent sport that requires aggression and egomaniacs with charismatic personalities to get all 11 guys on the same page at the same time.

I don't think Bert wants to deal with potential problem child players so he'll take a boat load of guys that are just happy for the opportunity to play in the SEC over those that know they belong among the best and have the swag to back it up in the SEC.

I really love that our fanbase expects us to win 8 games in the regular season this year and then melts when we lose to the #1 and #6 team in the country. We may lose to #12 Ole Miss next week as well. Doesn't mean the sky is falling.

Who the hell is recruiting studs good enough to beat Bama? Ohio St is about it and even that's questionable. Only way to recruit like Bama is hire Saban himself.

My only complaint is that (overall) we looked like a practice squad in front of the whole country. I didn't expect to win, but I didn't expect to get beat like Vandy

That is the thing for me too. I predicted a 6-6 season, we just lost too much on offense to think we'd approach 10 wins.

You assume by year 4 with two very good showings where we shot ourselves in the foot in the 4th to lose the last two against Bama that we'd have put up more of a fight.

The worst thing is what Bert said would be his strengths and where he'd build the team, from the inside out, are now the weaknesses on the team and that is a big problem.

what practice squad puts up almost 500 total yards and 30 points against the best defense in the nation?

That's the thing, we can recruit "studs" that get arrested 10-20 times per year and STILL not beat Bama. If there's one piece of advice (exclusive to THIS week) I have for Hog fans, it's not judging this team off this game. Bama is so much better than everyone else it's not even a fair judgement for any team, outside the other top 3-ish teams in the nation who'll probably lose to them too.

I'm just happy our offense could move the ball against arguably the best defense they'll face, which is more than we could say in many of our games against them. Our defense looked like a hot mess, but what's new? I'll judge more after the next 2 games than any in recent history, since the upcoming schedule is more on par with where we should compete.

Point noted and accepted. Now do turnovers, rushing yards, and Defense.

I'm not going to say we don't have positives on our team, and I'm far from crying the sky is falling, but I had higher expectations. Let's just see how the rest of the year plays out, but honestly, am I really the only one that was hoping we would at least beat the spread?

The spread made no difference to me at all.

I was surprised we put up the points we did with our terrible Oline...

I was surprised AA is still able to walk.

our D is terrible against decent competition.

It is what it is, I thought 8 wins to begin the season, bumped to 9 after TCU, but TCU isn't that great this season. lol at all of it.

i bet the spread
i think 2 of those turnovers (allen's pass/fumble and the KOR fumble) were the most crucial. The rest of the turnovers kind of started to build on each other because when you get behind you have to start taking more risks

look, i'm bummed about this and A&M because i think both were winnable if we play clean, error-free games, but we didnt.
i still think we drop 2 more maybe 3 but if our only losses this year end up being top top 10-15 teams, i take that as still a step in the right direction, especially if we are able to put yards and points up on those teams
