Cause RWIII definitely fumbled that ball 
I have no screenshot but I believe it was after the first onside kick attempt by Miss St. I'm glad they didn't review it.

They replayed on TV ,it was real close and coming out before he hit the ground but the ground definitely helped knock it loose.

If we're talking about the same play then I'm 90% sure the left side of his body was down before the ball came out. Just hard to tell from the camera angles.

Forward progress had stopped and the refs had blown the whistle I believe on that play.
