I see at least two actors from the justified cast in there.

I was too young to remember Burlsworth but my dad always told me about him and his story and all that happened to him, definitely looking forward to this film.

You would have to been there to understand the full context of his situation.
We went from being one of the more popular teams to get televised back in the 80s (when it was a big deal to have a game on TV) from the SWC to getting the shite kicked out of us on a yearly basis under Crowe and Ford adding insult to injury by spouting off stupid shite in the media, going for two because he didn't realize we scored a TD the play before, losing to SMU, etc.
In comes Nutt who is talking about winning a NC his first season, his enthusiasm and cheerleader tactics didn't seem cheezy at the time, arguably it was exactly what the program needed at that moment in time.
Of a team that didn't have huge star power going in, an unknown lineman who looked like Drew Carey, back when he had a comedy show and was fat as frick, not when he got his stomach stapled and became the love affair of women over 60 on the price is right, who was a star on a team that was one of the biggest turn arounds in the country for the first 9 weeks of the season.
I still remember when it was announced he died, it was shocking and sadness you'd never forget.

I remember Burlsworth. I'm not sure I can watch the movie as a result. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and this was one of those times. It just was not fair.

Although there are many Hogs over the years I've been very fond of, who've been great players as well as great guys, Burlsworth will forever be my favorite, #1 Razorback. For someone so young to have such phenomenal heart, in every way, to have such a tremendous work ethic, and to have his priorities truly in order & know what's really important in life - more so than many people much older than he was ever do - is an extreme rarity. He was a tremendous blessing to the Razorbacks, U of A, & Hog fans everywhere, and a brilliant example of how everyone - not only young people - should aspire to be.
When he got killed, it was like one of our family members had died - very shocking & painful - but what he accomplished in his young life, and how he lived it, is awesomely inspiring. However, at the time, I remember so many people, not just in Arkansas, but from around the country, including myself, who knew of Brandon & his story, were trying to wrap our heads around why something so tragic would happen to a young man just entering into the next phase of his young life, who had done pretty much everything in his life that he should & could to become not only a great football player, but more importantly, a genuinely great person as well, particularly when he was just about to seemingly be rewarded with an NFL career for all of his hard efforts. The adage of "sometimes bad things happen to good people" just wasn't enough of a satisfactory explanation or comfort in Brandon's case. So, for me, since I don't believe events in life happen simply at random, but that there is a "Greater" plan, I reconcile his death, and that of others in similar circumstances, by looking at his extraordinary life - all of the good that resulted from it, all of the many other lives Brandon positively affected by how he lived his, and the numerous ones who perhaps will be impacted to follow his wonderful example as a result of this movie; perhaps that was Brandon's purpose - to live a life that would leave a far-reaching & very positive legacy for others, which he fulfilled. ... Any manner we choose to look at it, no doubt we should remember Brandon's exemplary example of a life & not so much his tragic death. We're very blessed that such a special young man who is, & will continue to be because of his story being told through this movie, such a positive role model for many generations of youngsters (and oldies ) and is forever a Razorback.

My whole family is going together to see it, & Sam's is on the "To Do List" for a couple of cases of Kleenex - 1 large box per person - before we go.

dumb question i guess but this is going to be released at theaters?
Posted on 1/6/16 at 11:48 am to piggilicious
Not dumb, I googled it to find out. It didn't occur to me that it could be released straight to video until I saw your question. ... From what I found, it will be in theaters on Jan. 29, but don't know if that's nationwide. I assume most theaters in Arkansas will definitely be showing it then. ... I did find where it's premiering tomorrow night in LR & the cast, director, producers, etc. will be there & have a Q&A with cocktails before. I'd love to go to that.

I can't wait to see it!!!

I'm sure most Razorback fans are going to see it either in theaters or video.
I'll see it at the theater if it plays in my area.
If it's well directed, I can see how it would be a challenge not to tear up, which would be very unusual for me.

This shite makes me fist pump.
What a great representation of our program and state. Can't wait.
Looks way better than the Blindside honestly.
