MSU - 31
Ark - 28
Don't hate me. I keep telling myself we're going to win. We're at home, we're hot as hell, our team doesn't give up... But we've been riding so high and MSU is a good team looking to bounce back after getting embarrassed by Bama. If we couldn't stop Texas Tech from scoring on us at will on our turf, how are we going to stop Dak? MSU is very solid. This seems like a classic let down game where most expect to win by 10+ points, and at the end we say "WTF happened!? We were playing so good coming in!"

A la Georgia last season. I've thought our little high might be over too - dreary news/game on the basketball side- was it an omen of things to come?
But I'm putting on my positive hat and saying hogs 49-28. I'm hoping for an offensive explosion on our part again and the d to hold up well enough.

State has exactly zero wins over teams with a pulse

MSU is bad where it counts, in the trenches!! Due to the weather the best running team will dominate this game, Hogs 35-17!!

Most fans want to give credit to BA and an assortment of Razorback players and coaches, but I think we've been winning every since I quit predicting Hog victories.
So don't tempt me.

I'll put you down as a Razorback loss

You not predicting wins and Piggi threatening to beat the crap out of Bert. Speaking of which, Piggi don't forget to threaten Bert early and often tomorrow.
If I had to go out on a limb... 35-31 Hogs win. What worries me is the let down game scenario. If we come out full of ourselves then MSU wins.

Exactly what I was coming here to say!!!!

Hogs 38 Dawgs 35 1 OT
Oh please, dear sweet baby Jesus, no; let us win in regulation. I'm out of panic attack pills.
I haven't predicted a Hog win (or loss) since Toledo, and I've tried not to over-think, analyze, or predict the games in advance. I've also made it a point not to watch/listen to the games, closely, (except LSU) until well into the second half. I'm becoming my dad, who even though is the epitome of calm, cool, & collected under pretty much all circumstances, becomes a ridiculous, uncontrollable bundle of nerves, requiring medication when the Hogs play, & am too much of a puss to watch. (Will get script for panic attack meds re-filled for next season, as we'll be attending several games in F'ville.) ... I barely even watched the OM game, except for a couple of plays here & there, although I had it on radio & every tv, until my child (half LSU fan, sigh) who was watching intently, ran into the garage where I was packing/hiding, screaming joyously (he hates ol' piss, too) about Henry's lateral to Collins, then I couldn't resist watching the final glorious few moments. And I watched literally none of the Aubie game; my bestie LSU bud gave me the play-by-play over phone from 4th qtr. on, throughout the multitude of OTs, and I thought he was trolling me when we finally pulled it out until my kid told me - even then I thought they were in cahoots (being Tiggers & all) on the trolling. Finally believed it when I made myself look on tv. ... I haven't been able to watch a complete Hog game for the past 4 weeks except the replays when I know there's no chance of a colossal frick up. And I'm pretty positive this is the reason for our Ws - makes sense to me.
I'll keep to my fail safe game plan & make no predictions about the State game, but I will say that I don't think our playing away or home makes much difference; it hasn't in the past several weeks, which is a really good thing for away games. This game always concerns me because I believe State is sort of overlooked & underestimated in a lot of ways. They're definitely capable of playing great football & usually always are; we just have to be ready if they decide to play like they can - we need to believe they will & definitely not assume they won't. ... I just hope our players AND coaches haven't let up on the mental intensity level this week coming off the past few Ws since we're home. And I damn sure hope we don't take our foot off the gas in that regard tomorrow. ... Praying that whatever the mental/confidence/choke issue BA had before doesn't rear its ugly head, and that whatever "clicked" with him starting about the Aubie game keeps clicking these final 2+ weeks (better late than never, I suppose), and that he continues to be phenomenal & keep his head in the game for the ENTIRE game, however many OTs it might take. (Please, oh please, win in regulation. Amen.) It would be awesome to see BA out-Dak Dak, and he's shown he's capable. ... Overall, as with so many, I think this game comes down to mental state - intensity, concentration, being in the zone, playing smart, etc. No doubt, we have the physical ability & talent to win; we just gotta keep up the mental toughness. ... SO JUST DO IT, HOGS!!! WPS!!!

This is a criticism I have of Bert sometimes. Big difference between confidence & cocky. Confidence gets wins; cocky gets asses kicked.

After watching how horrible their line was last week I think our rush does enough to keep Dak running around.
38-21

We've won every game since I stopped picking them in the ATS (to cover or not), so I'm not jinxing it by making a prediction on the score either.

I'll just expect the worst and hope for the best.
