Sad that we almost need a stickied thread for all the football injuries this season.

Jonathan Williams - RB - broken foot, out for season
Keon Hatcher - WR - broken foot
Cody Hollister - WR - broken foot
Jared Cornelius - WR - broken arm
Juan Day - RB - ACL
Kody Walker - RB - hand?
Josh Williams - LB - broken leg

I'm sure I'm missing some people. I'll try to dig up info on time frames for when players will be back later.

Is it walker's hand or arm? I saw he was wearing a sling before the TT game. Wasn't sure what was messed up.

He had a sling but the cast was on his arm up into the hand. My guess is that he broke his hand and had surgery quickly afterwards, which explains the sling.

At the rate we are going it may be easier in the coming weeks to list who isn't injured. I cannot remember such a snake bit season for the Hogs.

On a related note, what do you guys think the chances are of Hatcher getting a medical RS and coming back next year? We could use some good news, although I don't know why he would particularly want to stay.

What's amazing is that they're all on offense.

We've had a rash of player injuries, but yet our entire defense is healthy.

On one hand, I'm of the belief that JWill's injury probably sealed it for any player thinking of forgoing the draft and coming back.

However, Keon never exactly lit up the stat sheet in his career, and he doesn't have the buzz that a player in a similar situation from a place like Bama or USC would get.

If he doesn't come back this year, I'm not sure what he'd do.

Maybe not a bad idea for Hatcher. A lot will depend on how this season plays out though.

I'm of the belief that Alex Collins will return, simply because his draft stock isn't nearly high enough and by all indications, loves being a student.

If Hatcher doesn't come back next year he has played his last football game

No one in the NFL wants a guy who put up 86 rec and 11 TD in 4 years

Never been sure why people are real high on the guy

It's not that I'm super high on Keon, it's just that he has been the only consistent bright spot in our receiving game, and he's looked amazing so far this year. I can only suspect that he'll be even more improved next year - especially if Peavey, Storey, or Town steps up and becomes a force at QB. Our offense is going to need all the help it can get next season.

I was looking for someone to talk me into believing Collins will stay

I was afraid he, Hatcher, and Henry would all be long gone. If we don't land White or Whaley during this recruiting cycle, we're royally fricked at RB.

right. that's why I said fire him

the other players that were out at that time had no effect on the team.
