Anybody else see this? Anybody drink at ESG? Seems a popular place with the 45+ divorced upper middle class types. This is a very hot-take about Bert. I'm surprised the flyer folks left it up.

In case it gets removed...

quote:

THE VERY LOUD TRUTH IS HIS PLAYERS QUIT ON HIM THIS WEEK!!!

Until he quits quits drinking enough at the East Side Grill to pass out on the floor, things will not change!

Until he quits preaching to everyone else about being UNCOMMON, but the only thing uncommon is the amount of Bourbon he can drink, things will not change!

Until he quits BLAMING EVERYONE ELSE, things are not going to change!

Until his wife and Jeff Long quit covering things up for him, things ARE NOT GOING TO CHANGE!

The sad truth is if the General Public knew how close we were to having another embarrassing drunk motorcycle accident repeat at any time now, they would be pissed!

I am a personal friend of the Pittman's - here is what I have asked to share...
-I can 100% say that no amount of money would have kept him here, unless Brett left first.
-He felt he had NO other option!
-HE DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE - HE TOLD ME MANY TIMES HE WANTED THIS TO BE HIS LAST STOP!
-The truth is he was being asked to clean up more and more that he was not comfortable with.

-Stop and ask yourself why Brett threw such a fit when Sam told him he was leaving?
-Why did Bret go so below the belt in lashing out at Pittman? Last year he went on and on about "taking Sam at his word" when he talked about the lack of non-compete clause for other SEC teams in his contract.
-Why did Brett load up all the O-lineman and take them to his house to try and talk him out of it? He knew he could not do it by himself! He put the ultimate peer pressure on Sam and tried to make him look bad - and he didn't crack!
-Why did Brett call the next day and cuss him out on his speakerphone while his wife was in the car? Why did he yell and scream at Sam and call his wife Jamie the "B" word? He didnt respond, he just ended the call.

Now try and remember what you heard back last year from Coach Pittman?
-Not a cross word on tv!
-Not one negative word on social media!

-Remember his O-lineman? - HE WANTED TO TELL THEM SO BADLY WHILE THEY WERE AT HIS HOUSE, but not a bad word was uttered to them! They left that night being told that Coach Pittman was a quitter and he had broken his word to them!

The only thing UNCOMMON in this situation is the Integrety of Coach Pittman.

As a life-long Hog supporter, I hate to wish any Ill will on the program, but until Jeff Long leaves I believe we risk being embarrassed again.
-He was here when overlooked the Petrino debacle.
-He then appointed John L. "SMILE" Smith, to be the temporary coach of a wasted season.
-And know he has hired a Brett from his hand written note backstory. There were plenty of wishpers at Wisconsin about his love of the drink. How it was missed by Jeff, I will never know.

I like Jeff, but three strikes and you are out!!!

Because he was a good Oline coach?

On the other hand people would be mad if they realized he didn't try and keep him.

I'm not really sure what he means by this in regards to Jeff Long

Personal friend of the Pittmans and in deep with the situation but can't spell Bret correctly. Seems legit.

Another interesting thing to look at, he is a life long Razorback fan and also a personal friend of Pittman? So I guess they became such good friends in that 2 year period he was here.

bunch of crapola there. I doubt much is true.
1. If CBB were out "everynight" drinking at that spot, this wouldn't be the first time a major rant got through the censors after this many years.
2. Jen and Jeff covering for him? Cmon now... He is the highest paid man in Arkansas by reportable salary at the state level. There is no real cover up as such. Remember Petrino having the bag blown wide open?
3. Pittman only went where his buddy was going, it wasn't as if he was taking any job opening possible. Pittman loves him some Chaney.
4. It wasn't exactly going very well for Pittman either. His recruiting was not up to the hype, his fundamentals weren't awesome either.

I don't believe any of this except for the drinking. It's like the elephant in the room no one talks about, which is fine as it's not really anybody's business. Dude is a borderline alcoholic though.

This seems to be a pretty common story around Fedvul. I hear similar stories in Madison all the time but I chalked that up to him being a single, multi-millionaire football coach living the single life at the time.

Why would Bert attack his wife? Makes zero sense to me.

Haven't some of you NWA folks seen him out slamming them back? For some reason I was thinking he and Pittman used to be regulars at a few watering holes.

I don't drink anymore. I would ask my friends but I no longer have friends, due to me quitting drinking and smoking dope.

I had a friend who hosted a couple private events with bielema at their bar. By all accounts he drinks run like a fish and tried to pick up on the dime piece that works there. If any of you frequent Moranos ask around they'll tell you story's of before when he came to billys
