Moving back to NWA in April. Lived in Fayetteville between 92-99 and loved every moment of it. However, my office is going to be in Rogers. As much as I would love to live in Fayetteville again, would Rogers offer anywhere near the entertainment scene as the Hill? I've heard that Bentonville is booming as well, but it seems to be a little to far from Fayetteville. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

From what I understand, not having lived in Rogers, the entertainment scene isn't quite all that. My nephew that lives up there drives down to Fayetteville to hit Dickson quite often.

I'd suggest living in Rogers, which should be a bit cheaper, and driving down to Fayetteville to have a good time.

You might like dowetown Bentonville. They are trying to cater to young professionals. Plus, Benton county is wet now.

Downtown Bentonville all the way. It's only going to get better.

It really depends on what kind of place you like. I still live in Fayetteville and probably always will. That being said, we drive up to Bentonville quite a bit to eat and hang out with the family.

Stay away from moving anywhere close to any of the following highways.

16
62 east and west
45
102

You're morning drive to work will be enjoyable

Downtown Bentonville is nice , some good eats and pubs parking sucks.

Anywhere in Rogers other than around the Promenade is infested with messicans.

Downtown Rogers isnt great, and it is really not great for nightlife

Downtown Bentonville is probably what you're looking for. Its nothing like Dickson St, more young professional oriented

When I got out of school Fayetteville would have been the only choice. Nowadays any would be fine but as a family man I'd lean toward Bentonville/Rogers and the whole area offers a lot with good schools and Fayetteville isn't that far away especially with the modern highway structure.

Now a younger single man wanting to chase co-eds might want a little closer to the action and in that case Fayetteville would get the nod.

Edit: I'd also add that I don't know how much time you will have to spend at the office but that is a consideration as well. For me I often have to run back and forth to the office and living a few minutes away from the office definitely has its advantages.

Being right next to the office isn't that big of a deal. I'm recently single, but I'm an old head, so Bentonville might not be a bad choice. Either way, it's going to be good to get back to God's country!

Live near where you work, in my opinion. Don't punish yourself with the drive from Fayetteville to Rogers every morning and from Rogers to Fayetteville every evening.

That's 2 hours of your day, every day, that you just shite away crawling down I-49.

I would like to take this opportunity to say: frick AHTD.

Watch your filthy mouth.

In all seriousness, Rogers/Bentonville is a solid area. One thing Rogers has that not many of the others do is lake access.

Downtown Rogers is a long arse ways from I-49. just keep that in mind. Look at SW Rogers or west Lowell as well

If I were looking in NWA, maybe somewhere around the Cave Springs area on the Benton County side to be in the Bentonville or Har-Ber school districts if kiddos are a concern.

If you're looking for value then the older part of Rogers has some gems. I'd stay the hell out of Bella Vista and Fayetteville doesn't offer much for an adult and Bentonville is priced too crazy to come out ahead when the market normalizes.

Tontitown to Siloam Springs and north would get a look too, but there's a lot of poultry farms out that way and plane traffic from XNA, might not be the healthiest of places to live in the area.

Pea Ridge area would get a look from me too, it's not too bad of a drive into Bentonville if that's where you're going to be working.

For my preferences and hatred of commuting, close to work is a big thing I look for. Wasting 10% of my day behind the wheel isn't fun.

You could also check out Elm Springs. If you happen to see a road sign at a bridge that looks like someone hit it on accident, it wasn't me.

combine the jet fuel vapor from the planes and the fecal matter, waste water pollution and general waste that commercial farms produce the air quality in that area is likely the worst in NWA.

I'd also venture to guess that the are of north springdale that is in between the George's, Tyson, and Cargill plants isn't all that wonderful either.
