Miami Dolphins wide receiver Drew Morgan quickly developed into a star during the team's OTAs. According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, the Arkansas product was the most impressive performer on the field beyond the team's top three wide receivers.
Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills are the team's top options in the passing game, but every spot beyond that is available for the taking.
Morgan led the Razorbacks in receptions during the last two seasons. His baseline testing at the NFL combine, however, can be described as poor at best, as he ran a 4.74-second 40-yard dash. The 6'0", 193-pound target will never be the biggest or fastest target, but he understands how to run routes and create separation despite his athletic limitations.
"I was a little shocked [to be invited to the combine] because I feel like a lot of [what I offer] are a lot of just intangibles that you can't necessarily judge," Morgan said, per Alain Poupart of the Dolphins site. "... I'm sorry I'm slow, but when it's 3rd-and-2 and you need a first down in the fourth quarter, you're going to throw me the ball. I catch the ball."
Landry ran a 4.77-second 40-yard dash at the combine, and he's done pretty well for himself at the professional level. Miami drafted Landry in the second round, though. Morgan must find a niche within the roster. He holds value as a possession receiver and can contribute on special teams, as he returned punts during OTAs.
"Drew is one of those that he's done it in college," head coach Adam Gase said, per Poupart. "We're working Drew at a bunch of different spots."

Joe Schad (covers the Dolphins now) seemed to be really impressed with him and said he juked some DBs out of their shoes on one run.

Morgan was never an athletic beast while he played here, its why he sort of came from nowhere after a few of our wide outs went down with injury to become a leading receiver. He does have a knack for getting open and being where the ball is and he rarely drops anything thrown to him.
I think he'd make some NFL team a clutch possession receiver.

You know me too- when he had the spit incident I was a little disgusted but after thinking about it, it was out of pure frustration and love for his team and the desire to win. That's hard to be mad about and I've no doubt he learned a lesson there.

Drew is only a year older than me and I know alot of people who know him or played football against him. Great football player. Kind of a douche. He tried to date a girl who's dad works with my dad and she turned him down. If you won't date a guy who has a chance to make an NFL roster you know he must be a huge frickboy

Not to our amazing fanbase. Other fans defend their rapists and murderers but ours will take a huge dump on you once you leave the Hogs.
The problem we have is that we have way too many fans who don't have a connection to the Razorbacks and/or The University of Arkansas.
We have a shite ton of sports fans and realists in our fanbase and not enough diehard Razorback fans. Everyone likes to tote that bullshite line about once a Razorback always a Razorback but it's routinely proven false. Look at how people are treating Morgan and Sprinkle. Look at how disgustingly horrible the Allen brothers were treated; social media harassment, death threats, burnt truck etc.
Don't get me wrong. We have a large group of passionate but sane fans. It's the fringe that ruin it for the rest of us.

Odd. I know a lot of people as well who played with him and I have spoken with Morgan a few times and he doesn't come off as a douche and everyone seems to love him.

I mean, you should probably give women a little more credit. Not every woman on the planet looks for $$ signs. Women have their tastes in men, it is possible he just wasn't her type. Then again, that may be too much logic for you to understand and gets in the way of you attempting to take shots at the man.

I wish we had a team full with Razorback hearts like Morgan has. Nobody wanted to win more in a Hog jersey than him.

I'm a passionate fan and support all hogs. However, the reference was made that the guy is douche. I simply added evidence that he spit in a guy's face.
Does he deserve a second chance? Sure
It still doesn't change the fact that he did it though.

Drew morgan was my favorite razorback the past 2 years 
I wish every player on our team played with the heart this dude did. Kid loved the game and truly loved being able to wear Arkansas on his jersey. Still doesn't change the fact that alot of his peers said he was kind of an arse
