Did we seriously just extend Mike's contract through 2020?

Base salary stays the same @ $2.09M w/ $800k in incentives.

$1M buyout, no-compete in the SEC.

This is a 2 year extension.

A year each for each time he got the team ranked in the top 25. Expect to fall out after this week.

Eta: Arkansas is 26-29 against SEC opponents under Anderson fwiw.

He must have got another offer - that's strange for January.

Apparently not a big deal, no raise or change in buy out. It helps for recruiting purposes.

I'm willing to wait on judgment until all the Pelphrey (Madden) fricks are out.

Today's game against UGA is the first time we've played as a ranked team vs. an SEC foe since 1999...

let that sink in for a minute

I think people are too impatient with Anderson. He's getting things fixed and I'm willing to wait.

Go back and watch a Pelphrey or Heath coached team and tell me Anderson hasn't changed some things around here.

Pay stayed the same so I don't really mind it.

This just made me sick to my stomach.

I've told my wife I can't bear to bring children in to a world where Arkansas basketball isn't relevant.

She doesn't buy that excuse.

I mean we're in year 4 here and still underwhelming IMHO. Tonight is the type of game we should win going away...

Had 3 years left on original deal signed in March 2011. 15-16, 16-17, 17-18, extension adds two more years 18-19, 19-20. Salary stays the same only thing that changed is the buyout goes from 3 million (3 years left) to 5 million (5 years left; $1 million per each year on contract).

IMO he's getting stability not only to help in recruiting but also for getting us out of APR hell and not having players show up on LINKor having drug problems like under previous coaches. It's a culture and character situation much like Bielema and the football program.
