After dropping the rubber match to LSU on March 21st, Arkansas didn't lose a single SEC series.

Ole Miss: 2-1
Auburn: 2-1
Kentucky: 2-1
aTm: 2-1
MSU: 2-1
Alabama: 3-0
Tennessee: 1-1 (rainout)
Georgia: 2-1

Not bad for a team that many people, myself included, considered dead in the water after the California trip. I think this speaks volumes about the coaching staff we have in place. We all know how terrible we were at the start of the season. The losses weren't bad breaks or just baseball being baseball. We were flat out bad. That is no longer the case at all. Our hitting has been drastically improved and the young pitching has continued to grow throughout the year. My hat is off to the staff for this season. I'd say we're way ahead of schedule at this point pending postseason production.

I thought we'd be lucky to be .500 in the SEC. Glad they proved me wrong

Really hope the rumors are true that we'll get put in the Missouri State regional, I will have a suite.

I'm hoping so as well so I can go too. Haven't been to a Regional game since back when I was in college in '04.

Yep. Hats off to the staff and the boys for growing into a good team.

I was at the UGA series and this team is a ton of fun to watch now. I didn't see that coming based on early season performance. Proud of the Hogs WPS

Same, only I was younger. Had all session tickets for the 04 regional and then the super regional, was a blast.

I went into this season not expecting anything special, props to Coach Van Horn and the team for proving me wrong

So the consensus seems to be we were better than expected. I remember getting off to a shaky start and most were ready to throw in the towel. But the team seemed to come into, their own and won a number of series as noted.

I didn't follow the team closely throughout but paid more attention toward the end (typical for me). What made the difference in the team doing better?

Do we have a good shot to go far in the SEC tourney and postseason?

Pitching and defense got way better. Having the best player in the conference didn't hurt either.

Defense is one of the best in nation.

Weird how this season is kind of backwards.

Good fielding and hitting team, pitching lagging behind.

Ult, whats Springfield like? Assuming it'd be worth it to drive down from STL?

Anywhere decent to get a lil buzz on before the game? I know literally nothing about Springfield other than bass pro.

I haven't gotten to see them very often, but that Wearnes kid (spelling?) at 3rd is a hell of a fielder. Like...special good, IMO.

Springfield's nothing special but I think it'd definitely be worth it. Hammond Field is really nice. There's a few bars on the square that aren't bad...probably about a 15 minute walk from the stadium.
