Don't know if true, if it is - you only mention that to the press if you are proud of that fact.
If he starts to feel the heat and wants to preserve that fact, does he and Jeff Long mutually come to a decision to part ways? Say for health reasons, family matters, etc?

From what I can find, he has never been fired as a coach. Note, this is not exclusive to head coaching duties.

I understand the "firsts" argument, but what about: it mutually benefits both parties? I.e. negotiated buyout?
