Board requests.

I requested access to the Mizzou board and so far I'm screwed. Reason - because our board isn't letting anyone in.
Cheese Grits requested and had support, but nothing.
Mizzoukills wanted in, I understand some people not wanting him in, but he's OK in my book. I realize my book isn't written by the same author as yours.
Reedus23 would like access, and I support.
Now, back to my original question - why in the frick have we closed our doors?

I'm not clear on how this works, but I'm newer here than most. It would seem to be easier to let more in who legitimately want in, then dismiss them if they flame or cause a problem, but I'm sure there is more to it, Idk.

Look, if I recall correctly, Hugo burnt the bridge. But that's f'n Hugo.
The Mizzou board has like 4-5 Hog fans posting over there, we have 1 Mizzou poster. Granted, it's not like any have asked, except for kills.
Anyhow, I really don't like that we've closed the doors completely.

I don't really know either, Missy.
But something has to give, we want access to other boards but close off our board. Sounds pretty shitty.

Believe me, anything worth discussing, to them, will find its way on one of those boards anyway.

Right. This is an Arkansas forum and I would like to keep it that way. If I want to discuss shite with other fan bases then I will go to the Rant or OT forum.
It's not like we never grant access to outsiders. It should be done on an individual basis and there should be an opportunity for flagshippers to give their approval or disapproval.

There's plenty of posters from other fanbases that can post here. As we've been reminded this is the place for Arkansas specific topics.
I support killz because he lives close to the border and is a wealth of information on many topics that interest both fanbases and mutual places of co-habitation and frolic.
It's difficult to discern a rival fan's true intention when their posts related to us sway more towards flames than relevant convo.

If I wanted mizzou poster input I'd just go to the sec rant. Some actual football discussion on there couldnt hurt things.

That's kind of the thing, topics on the rant turn into flames. There's a level of control here, posters know there's something at stake if they flame on the rant, and they have access here it could terminate with a quickness.

I think everyone in this thread has valid points, and the link that hawgfaninc posted seems very logical. I'm just unsure about how the process works to begin with. Can the team board admins not dismiss someone from another fan base without permission from TD admins at this time? I was under the impression they could.
