that is what pisses me off about him. i honest to god,, would not be as pissed off about the loss had bert not come out and flat out say "we'll play a full game today i gurantee it" at half time only to comeo ut and do not that lol. like when you say that, that means you've found a probelm and addressed it. bert just talks and says shite that makes him look confident.

Or perhaps like many in the fanbase he thought the problem lie in one area when it's really being enabled in another...

I hope you're not trying to shift blame off the worst Arkansas defense that I've seen in my lifetime.

As a whole, the defense was the biggest issue this season... The last two games were on the offense however.

I wouldn't say that. Any time you have less than one half of a football game to maintain a 24 point lead and blow it, that lies on the defense. Sure, the offense stalled out in those halves which only made the problem worse, but theoretically they shouldn't have to do any more than leading by 24.

Mizzou was definitely on the defense. They gave up bomb after bomb in the second half.

All that tells me is that the coaches were aware of what happened the previous game and specifically stressed it not happening again to the players at half. I'm not saying that it's not a coaching problem because ultimately it is, but something is mentally broken with the players on the field. In fact, I'm about 99.9% sure the coaches did everything in their power to stop the unraveling occurring before their eyes. They just didn't have a solution.

We have senior ball players stealing clothes after being given a gift card shopping spree. We have seniors dropping the ball all over the field and following that up with a spit in the face. Those are our leaders on the field. We have a quarterback back with perhaps the worst body language and defeatist attitude I've ever seen from a razorback quarterback, ever. He also continuously throws the ball to the other team, then mopes off the field. We have a struggling defense given a 24 point lead and playing well for a half, only to give up the ball 4 straight times in the opponent territory on the road. We have an offensive coordinator who can't call plays in the 2nd half of games when he has a lead. It's not just the last 2 games either, you guys remember TCU? There are a lot of things wrong with this team. BB is taking the brunt of it from the fans, a he should, but anyone that thinks it lies on him entirely is being emotional, not looking at it entirely

The odd thing about Allen is that he was hyped up by the media in the preseason as having the mental makeup and moxie of Matt Jones, that he had the memory of a goldfish and could easily shake off anything bad that might happen. I don't know if Auburn broke him, but wasn't anywhere close to being the same guy during the second half of the season. His body language was horrendous, and his footwork and mechanics regressed tremendously. He moped and sulked after interceptions or third down incompletions or sacks, and his apparent lack of confidence was reminiscent of Casey Dick. Also, I give Bert a ton of deserved grief on here, but he was right when he said earlier this season that Austin holds the ball way too long in the pocket.

Also, it's time to stop giving Enos a pass. I'm an outspoken proponent of Robb Smith getting the boot and have been for quite some time, but it's undeniable that Enos simply cannot effectively call plays in or game plan for the second half. Against A&M we were tied at halftime and ended up scoring 7 in 4th quarter garbage time. Zero points in the second half against Auburn. Zero points in the 3rd quarter against Florida. Three points in the second half against LSU. Zero points in the second half against Mizzou. Zero points in the second half against Virginia Tech.

We were outscored in the second half in eight (!) of our games.

So the moral of this story is the offense and defense both suck.

The offense Definitely left a lot to be desired In the 2nd half alot this season but alot of people hate on Austin's appearance and attitude but I liked it. He showed he was pissed and didn't like the result. Alot of the time he was pissed looking at the receivers if they fricked up and he was always looking to make a play. Now that came back to bite us some but alot of his faults would be fixed with an average oline. I liked his look alot more than Bert's dumbfounded hodor look on the sideline.
