I find it troubling that a radio host and supposed "neutral observer" is this closely involved with the coach, so much so he doesn't even hide his involvement.
What happens if/when Bert goes 4-8. Mattingly has really put himself in an unprofessional spot here.

No, not really. Bo is using this to get a bigger gig. Bert is using it to get attention. They're both using each other, whether they'll admit it or not.
I think Bo aspires to be like Pawl. He wants a more national show, or at least regional show. Bert wants all eyes on the program and this does that.

That's the goal for them, despite being a pretty terrible and uninteresting show.
However, they do a good job at getting regional and national guests that typically bring it when they come on. The locals however drag the show down.

Couldn't agree more, I respect the fact that they have quality guests on but just has some horrible thoughts and opinions, imo

Bo is BY FAR the most marketable radio show for Sports in Arkansas just because they have a specific take, even if that take is to mercilessly ridicule certain elements of the fan base.
They don't exactly have hot, informed sports takes, but they have entertainment which people will enjoy. It's far more professionally produced and with better personality than most of the other shows which come off as rinky dink former hogs and local boys with a pretty narrow view.
I'm certainly not saying he is the best Razorback show, but he has way more vision than other sports people in the state, and this is evidence of it.

I'm sure it's much to tRant's chagrin that Bert and Jen act like a completely normal married couple. tRant's narrative is that she's a Vegas hooker that only married him for the money.
