Ignore both. Craigs is close enough to both. Nicks is shitty though.

Great thread.

What styles are these BBQs, Porker? Memphis?

Daymn, I'm gonna have to come up with a reason to road trip back to NWA.

EDIT: What am I thinking... Mizzou @ Arkansas, Nov. 27th.

I have a smoker I made out of a 55 gal drum (Big Ugly Drum smoker to be exact). Love it, I can dial in the temp as well as an electric and I can smoke six butts with just one bag of charcoal and a few hunks of wood.

I have an offset barrel type smoker like that and used to use it a lot with charcoal or wood chunks as the fuel.

The last couple of years I have a refrigerator type propane fired water smoker with an electric smoke generator attached to it that I use quite a bit and I like it really well. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of the smoking process.

Love BBQ. Love the thread.

I like Sassy's but not sure I truly classify them as BBQ, much less one of the best in the state. I must be the only person in Arkansas that dislikes McLard's.

Have you tried Pink Flamingo in Fort Smith? Tried it last month, pretty good.

Not in Arkansas but had Bogart's Smokehouse in St. Louis last week. It was great. Need to check it out.

1. Craig's
2. Craig's
3. Craig's
4. Craig's
5. Craig's

Get a deluxe cheeseburger if you've never had one. Dynamite.
My order when I go is 3 extra hots, and 2 cheeseburgers.

I grew up 100 yards from Nick's BBQ in Carlisle. Catfish is legit, I'll make the 20 minute drive to Craig's for BBQ every day of the week.

I will say that Nick's served up some of the best fried green tomatoes that I've had in a long time a few weeks ago.

Nope, McClards's and Sims are both highly overrated in my opinion. I prefer Whole Hog over both of them and Whole Hog is far from the best.

If were talking catfish, uncle deans in cabot has some damn good catfish. The serving size used to be a giant catfish fillets but theyve halfed it now.

Im talking fresh juicy lightly breaded sweet goodness.

For Memphis style pork bbq I still recommend pruetts. Its in a trailor but it still beats any pork Ive had in Memphis or Arkansas.

Kibbs started out, and I think maybe the original is still open, in Wabbaseka.
