Was it as awkward on TV as it was being actually at the game? I'm taking about before the players got to take it.

That makes more sense then. I figured you guys would have already had a thread about it when I got home.

They did this whole show of taking pictures with Bazzel when they first brought it out with about 2 minutes to go in the game. Then when the game was over Bazzel did this whole production of showing the Arkansas line to the crowd and then replacing the Mizzou line with it.

If they do that every year then it is really going to kill the vibe because the players can't just go over there and grab the trophy like they do with the boot.

The trophy will be retired when they give the "line" to the players to run over and replace it, and someone trips and is impaled on the damned thing.

I think we should make giant chocolate chip cookies from it and auction them off to Hogville retards.

With all the bullshite going on in Columbia, I'm surprised some moron hasn't cried foul over the name of the rivalry. It's directly referencing the north vs. the south in the civil war. But I guess the idiots causing a fuss up north aren't all that educated. They just like to make loud noises.

I think you will be hard-pressed to find a Mizzou fan on this site that agrees with the movement.

There is no "movement" bro. These types are on every college campus we just happened to give them a moment in the spotlight and that was stupid on the institutions part.

My comment was more directed at the though that "battle line" has anything to do with the civil war. You want to know what a rivalry that was born during the civil war looks like look at the Mizzou/kansas rivalry.

Im actually glad the university has moved on from that. It was ugly and the vitriol was toxic, it wasnt a sporting rivalry, it was born in hatred, murder and war.

Like I said before, good game. I think the trophy is silly like many Mizzou fans talked about last year as well. I think your civil war comment was silly as well.

I wouldn't expect to. I'm not entirely sure the three of us are on the same page.
