Barrett is a friend that I've known since college. I've been listening to his music for more than a decade. I wrote the promotional review of his last album that appears on his website. So you could say I'm a fan.
I've watched him play at Grumpy's and Flying Saucer and Dugan's and everywhere else. Never paid for a show before last week when I happily did so to watch him at Rev Room.
He is a great talent and a good person. And a legitimately huge Razorback fan on top of all that. He's worked his tail off trying to get to this point and I hope this is where things take off. He will have earned it if so. He's worth taking the time to vote for if that's something you're inclined to do.

My wife and I like the Voice, even though it seems pretty unlikely that so many performances are bordering on perfection. Regardless, I'm pulling for Mr Fayetteville. He's undeniably a great singer. Can't see him winning, but I hope I'm wrong.
Random aside: Did any of you watch when Hannah Kirby was on? She was the girl that had really eccentric dance moves from Sulphur Springs, TX. Anyway, she helped send my niece off on her make-a-wish trip. Super nice girl that wanted to do it of her own accord.

You can vote through the Voice app which is free. Of course I think everyone should do it because it's free and he's one of ours.
But I know not everyone participates like that. So let me say that if you like country music and that Lee Brice song, Baber's iTunes studio version is absolutely worth $1.29. That also counts as a vote. It's a great song, and Barrett does a great rendition.

Just watched him live tonight.
Damn, he is by far the best on the show. The song he did tonight could be released and be a hit on country radio next week.
