SEC Network has a hardon for CBB...GMAC is all over him and Arkansas

Edit...I'm back and forth on the Florida game but I've got us beating LSU for a 3 straight year

Edit2: I got us beating TCU...they have a ton of question marks...more than us. Rhoads is going to earn his money though

Best we could ever hope for.

Something tells me that if Tennessee was on the schedule it would be predicted as a loss as well.

Going to be so entertaining when both of those crash and burn this year per usual.

I'm not so sure LSU will crash and burn but the hype Tennessee is getting boggles my mind. Their best win last year was Georgia, and Georgia fired their coach.

I could see them easily having a losing record this year.

They play in the east, it wouldn't be that tough to get 8+ wins

They also play Fuente's VT, Bama, A&M and an App State team that won 11 games a year ago. Add in UGA, UF and UK and that's 7 losable games IMO.

I mean I'm not buying the hype on them yet until I see Butch putting together some good coaching game. That being said I don't think they can lose to VT, App State or UK. Bama, A&M, UF and UGA are winnable but even if they lose all of those they still have 8 wins. 9-3 is my prediction. I think they get beat soundly by the West champ if they make it to Atlanta.

Edit: You forgot to mention Vandy which I think has a solid chance to be better than Kentucky. But back to my original statement. They have almost 3 to 4 automic wins for playing in the east which goes a long way.

All true, and it could happen. I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't. Butch seems like the epitome of "all talk, no walk" to me. Even Moreso than Sumlin.

I agree with this to a certain extent. I think he is going to have to surround himself with a great staff if Tennessee is going to return close to their form under Fulmer. They did get a very solid defensive cord. this year. If they were in the west I could definitely see a possibility of them having a losing record. But so many of the bottom East teams seem to be rebuilding.

LSU and Tennessee are the two that I just can't get a feel for this year.

LSU utterly imploded last year after a great start, still can't seem to develop a quarterback, and seems to be in the same position Georgia was for the last few years where they had an All American tailback, no QB, and talented recruits all over the place but a lame duck coach who can't take advantage of his talent pool. Make no mistake, that end of season mess last year with the coaching search and the back and forth over whether Miles was fired or not culminating in the AD changing his mind at halftime of the A&M game and Miles being carried off the field by the players was nothing short of a disaster. I'm really surprised no one is talking about it in the context of this year and whether there might be any carryover.

Tennessee seems to have a ton of talent and plays in a division in which everyone is rebuilding, but I'm just in "I'll believe it when I see it" mode with them. In their defense, we got over the meltdown hump too, but we also weren't blowing 21 point leads during ours, and Bert is a better coach than Jones. Florida and Georgia are the outliers here - if they're better than people expect, that's trouble for Tennessee. If they lose at Bristol to start the season, all bets are off.

It was a surreal week or two there. The only way it could have been weirder was if John L. showed up on the sidelines yelling at everyone to smile.

Yeah, and it's really baffling to me that no one is talking about it heading into this season. That was a huge black eye -- or a collective forehead slap at worst -- for their program, and it really brought to the fore again just how incompetent Joe Alleva is as an athletic director. Having a two week span where your coach is pretty much fired, donors are making overtures to Jimbo Fisher, said coach wins a game and the team carries him off the field and it turns out he's saved has to have a lasting effect on morale, especially on the staff.

LSU has a pretty tough run in the middle of their season where they're at Florida, play a cupcake, and then play Ole Miss and Bama in back to back weeks in Baton Rouge before coming to Fayetteville. They could potentially lose all 4 of those games. If LSU loses to Florida, LSU fans will inevitably start looking at that stretch and think "uh oh, here we go again."

Its like collective amnesia has struck the LSU fans. Their coach was fired going into the A&M game and now everyone is predicting an undefeated national title team.

If Bielema had been saved by a last minute reprieve from our AD at the halftime of the Missouri game its all we would be talking, and worrying, about going into this season.

LSU just doesn't match up well with us. I really think we're going to have the upper hand in that game until there's a coaching change on one side or the other. Teams that will beat us are teams that are good at throwing the ball. LSU is not.

Yep. Good call there.

Tenner could turn it around but they looked really bad last night.

App St didn't look good either with their HS coach and lack of a passing game. If QB hasn't got banged up, I think they would have beaten Tenner by running over them with a one dimensional offense.

For what they brought to the dance they didn't look bad. I expect they'll do well in the Sun Belt. The Vols on the other hand looked like hot garbage. Teams in the running for a CFP spot don't require a lot of good fortune to beat a Sun Belt team.
